Introduction
I haven't actually spent a lot of time actually making a well thought out team in a while, and I generally get really lazy when it comes to thinking things through. I'm trying to break that terrible habit, and it's time to start working on a full fledged (hopefully) well thought out team. I'm also trying to get good enough to beat D_A and Anti...because I still can't unless I rely on Jirachi hax. That's why I refuse to use him in this team. Well I'll probably still lose to them anyway, because I'm sure they'll be seeing this team.Overview

Yanmega@Focus Sash
Nature: Timid
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 104 Def / 152 SpD / 252 SpA
~ Hidden Power [Ground]
~ Bug Buzz
~ Air Slash
~ Hypnosis
This thing is an absolutely fantastic lead. I use Protect if I know the opponent is faster than me, and that'll open up a speed boost on my part. Hypnosis is great for stopping the setup of Stealth Rock, which would otherwise wreck havoc on this bug after I pull him out. Bug Buzz is a powerful STAB move, as is Air Slash (with the occasional flinchax) and with the Expert Belt boost, it should do a good amount of damage to anything it's super effective against. The reason I chose Expert Belt is because I don't think Focus Sash is much of a necessity on this set if I have access to protect and hypnosis. Wise Glasses only improve accuracy by 10%, and that almost does nothing for Hypnosis (66% chance...awesome...). Plus I want to keep this thing around to deal some damage and hopefully pull off some sweeps occasionally.
Set Update:
Thing is Yanmega NEEDS 3 slots for coverage or it kinda sucks. Which is why i prefer sash >> EB and a Hidden Power [either ground or fire, preferably ground because this team is sub tran weak kinda but i will come to that shortly] >> Protect. Sash pretty much emulates Protect that being it gives you a free boost whilst at the same time allows you to obtain more coverage.
Also consider the following ev spread on Yanmega :- EVs: 104 Def/152 Spd/252 SAtk.
104 Defense EVs ensure that Meteor Mash followed by Bullet Punch from LeadGross will never KO, which is a huge asset to this Yanmega. Other notable achievements accomplished by the Def EVs include being able to stomach three of LO Scizor's Bullet Punches and two of CB Azumarill's Aqua Jets.
![[PokeCommunity.com] Down With Jirachi [PokeCommunity.com] Down With Jirachi](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/skarmory.png)
Skarmory@Leftovers
Nature: Impish
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 16 Spe
~ Brave Bird
~ Roost
~ Spikes
~ Whirlwind
D_A has opened my eyes to the power of spikes, and Skarmory seems to fill the role perfectly. It's sturdy, can phaze, Roost, and it should be able to get a good amount of spikes down. It has magnificent typing, and I couldn't pass this up. I needed something that could take a good amount of hits from the physical side of the spectrum as well, and Skarmory is a beast when it comes to take it. As mentioned before, Skamory can also phaze, which is great to have on any team as a good amount of the more powerful sweepers involve setup.
![[PokeCommunity.com] Down With Jirachi [PokeCommunity.com] Down With Jirachi](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/heatran.png)
Heatran@Choice Scarf
Nature: Naive
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Fire Blast
~ Earth Power
~ Explosion
~ Hidden Power [Grass]
Heatran is one hell of a revenge killer. That is why I placed him on my team. Also, if I'm good at prediction (lulz) I can stop any Fire Blasts/Flamethrowers against Skarmory that would otherwise destroy him. I get a little beef-up as well. Explosion is there just in case I want to deal with a specific pokemon and get him done with. Hidden Power [Grass] provides coverage for the rest of my team as well, and opens up more pokemon that he can revenge kill as well as compliment the next pokemon on my list.
![[PokeCommunity.com] Down With Jirachi [PokeCommunity.com] Down With Jirachi](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/starmie.png)
Starmie@Choice Scarf
Nature: Modest
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Thunderbolt
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam
~ Trick
My other revenge killer. It compliments Heatran in a way that provides awesome coverage. This Heatran/Starmie combo can hit 11/16 types for super effective damage, and can deal neutral damage to the other five types (Normal/Fighting/Ghost/Dark/Psychic). This little combo seems to be pretty good in my eyes, but if there's a better revenge killing duo, please let me know. Trick is there for crippling walls/support pokemon and screwing over any pokemon that requires setup to sweep.
![[PokeCommunity.com] Down With Jirachi [PokeCommunity.com] Down With Jirachi](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/blissey.png)
Blissey@Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def / 80 SpA / 176 SpD
~ Wish
~ Protect
~ Seismic Toss
~ Toxic
I have fallen to the dark side. I am now going to use Blissey for the first time since the beginning of D/P. She's a freaking beast as absorbing special attacks and the SkarmBliss combo is something that's been appealing to me for a while now. Wish support is something I really look for on this team as I have a lack of recovery moves on all of my pokemon, save Skamory. It can also deal some mad stall damage with Toxic and the Wish/Protect combo. Does it's job well, and I admire it for that. ;D
![[PokeCommunity.com] Down With Jirachi [PokeCommunity.com] Down With Jirachi](https://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/rhyperior.png)
Ryhperior@Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
Trait: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
~ Rock Polish
~ Stone Edge
~ Earthquake
~ Megahorn/Aqua Tail
I've been told he's a force to be reckoned with when he gets a Rock Polish in, and I sure hope that I'll be able to utilize him well. I never thought he'd be any use with his 4x weaknesses to two fairly common attack types, so he was often overlooked. He's got some crazy attack power however, and can outspeed a huge amount of things after his Rock Polish. Stone Edge/EQ are great coverage, and I'm not quite sure which move should be last. I've never used this pokemon before and I'm not sure which one would be better to deal with his counters. If he lures in a specific pokemon, please let me know who and I'll choose the last move accordingly.
Conclusion
So I hope this team will meet my expectations (probably won't) and I hope I can get some good information from everyone out there. And please, only make suggestions when you have reason to back them up. It's very annoying when someone tells me to switch something around and won't even bother to tell me why to do so.[/mini-rant]EDIT: I'm fighting weak. >.< I need a Ghost type to replace one of these pokemon.
