Has anyone ever noticed in the origional Red/Blue(Green in JP) games, that while dragon types were weak against dragon, the only dragon type attack was dragon rage which automatically does 40 Damage? I was like... well... that dosnet seem to be much of a weakness. Maybe thats why they said that dragon was the "Ultimate type" In the pokemon series.

    Ummmm….yeeeeah….and your point is?

Besides, in Red/Blue, Blizzard had an accuracy of 90% instead of 70% in later games, so it looks like Dragons (meaning Dragonite) aren't so ultimate as they seem.

Well like, I'm not saying they are ultimate but I remember... I think it was lance, who said that they are the ultimate type or something along those lines ^_^"

And as for your question of the point. I thought it would be an OK conversation starter >_>

Well, Lance is a Dragon trainer, so obviously he would have a bias towards them. He is probably also referring to dragon-like Pokemon (i.e. Gyarados and Aerodactyl) as well as Dragon typed.

I've never thought about that. But GSC got dragon breath, and RSEFL got Dragon claw, so its not a totally useless weakness anymore.

Almost every Dragon type is weak to Ice anyway (with the exception of Kingdra).

I do see your point about RBY, they didn't utilise everything at their disposal, with the strongest Ghost attack being Lick among other things (thankfully Shadow Ball is around now).
