Skimming through these threads, I see a lot of Dragonforce fans. They are right up there with my favorite bands, so post here if you love them as much as I do!!!

I agree that Dragonforce is awesome, but too many people like them only for their song "Through The Fire And The Flames" because it was on guitar hero III.

Oddly enough I hate Through the Fire and Flames and Guitar Hero, but I love Dragonforce. I went to their concert when they came to Australia last year.

...Is it just me or does the word "concert" sound retarded considering they're a power metal band?

    Hahaha i agree with you

"Get up Maggot Were going to The INSANE BLOODFILLED DISASTROUS concert."

Well I'm not talking about people who only like them for one song....Through the fire and flames is an awesome song, but some of the stuff on their other albums is pretty epic as well. I was hooked on them before GH3 came out =P

To be fair, if you've heard one Dragonforce song, you've pretty much heard them all.

Seconded. They're all undoubtedly good musicians, Herman Lee is one of the best I've ever heard. But in all honesty when you put them all together you end up with a wall of sound hitting you, because all it sounds like are solos piled on top of each other.

Still, there's far worse out there.

While there may be a lot going on in their songs, it is by no means a "wall of sound". At first listen it may sound disorganized, but all of their solos are in harmony with the rest of the song. And don't forget they throw in a lot of slower breakdowns that give you a break from the insanity. But yes, they are all great musicians, some of the best in the world.

    Yeah they are good.
I mean what is better than Metal which has some decent pace to it and unforgettable (and unplayable) guitar solos which blow the minds of most people when they hear it for the first time.

"Decent Pace" is a bit of an understatement ;)

    Agreed!
When my friend heard it for the first time he said it sounds like metal on fast forward.

Dragonforce is not my fav. fav. But they are one of my fav. bands, so they are awesome!!! I rele like there new song "Heroes of our Time"

I love Dragonforce! Even though i do agree that they became kind of famous because of "Through the Fire and Flames". They've gotten so much more views since then XD.

    Boring and overplayed.
The songs don't hold interest, they all sound the same, and the guitar sound is annoying.
    Besides being cheesy as hell.

Sonata Arctica's Kingdom for a Heart keeps my interest.

Cheesy? Yes. Boring? No. And I guess the annoyingness of the guitar would depend upon who's listening.

I saw them at the Mayhem Fest in VA Beach, and I think they are amazing. They blew me away! Both Herman and Sam are awesome guitarists. I don't really see how they could be boring. I also don't think they sound the same. I've listened to them alot recently, and they are definitely on my top band list.

i only liked Through The Fire And The Flames. Crazy guitar parts in there. I listened to more of there songs to see if they were any good but they all sounded the same.
