This all began when I was trying to throw together a stall team the other week because stall is a major part of my play style and many games. Not to mention I wasn't happy with my current team at the time. So I set out to make one and came up with a crap team that won a lot less then I liked for it to. So instead of throwing one together and having it look good on paper but preform like utter poo, I set down and focused on what I wanted to do. Thus in doing so, I created Dragonite stall.

    Meet the Team

    [PokeCommunity.com] Dragonite Stall

    Swampert (Female)
    Ability: Torrent
Effort Values: 240 HP, 216 DEF, 52 SPD
    Item: Leftovers
Moveset: Earthquake, Ice Beam, Roar, Stealth Rock
    Nature: Relaxed (+DEF -SPE)

Swampert, my lead. Swampert's main objective for my team is to set up Stealth Rock. After that is accomplished I use Roar to scout their team for threats to Dragonite and other things like set up fodder for Dragonite. Swampert's defense really allows her to switch in on physical attacks aimed at other members of my team and Roar out their switch in. She can also take the various ice and dragon attacks that are aimed at Dragonite, and in return threaten other dragons with her Ice Beam. She has the standard effort value spread, that allows for some special attack absorption to scout more.

    Blissey (Female)
    Ability: Natural Cure
Effort Values: 252 HP, 252 DEF, 4 SPD
    Item: Leftovers
Moveset: Protect, Seismic Toss, Toxic, Wish
    Nature: Bold (+DEF -ATK)

Ahhh, Blissey. Blissey plays so many important roles on this team. I used the Wish set because I want to be able to keep my members that can't self heal, like Swampert, healthy. Blissey also passes around Toxic like AIDS, then proceeds to either stall them out until Toxic takes it's toll with Protect and Wish, or I just Protect then pass. I used Seismic Toss because I want to deal consistent damage to everything that isn't a ghost, whom Spiritomb takes on like a man.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Dragonite Stall

    Heatran (Male)
    Ability: Flash Fire
Effort Values: 252 SPA, 4 SPD, 252 SPE
    Item: Choice Scarf
Moveset: Earth Power, Explosion, Fire Blast, Hidden Power
    Nature: Naive (+SPE -SPD)

Heatran's main goal is to take out pokémon who have been weakened by Toxic and entry hazards, and to act as a revenge killer. Heatran can also switch in on ice attacks aimed at Dragonite, fire attacks aimed at Skarmory, as well as be a general switch-in for steel types forcing Dragonite out, like Ice Punch Jirachi. I originally ran Substitute, but getting out sped by things, like Mamoswine, hurt a lot. So I switched to the scarf set. I can explode on problematic pokémon, also. I chose Hidden Power electric to take care of Gyarados, whom can be a problem for this team.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Dragonite Stall

    Dragonite (Male)
    Ability: Inner Focus
Effort Values: 212 HP, 252 SPD, 44 SPE
    Item: Leftovers
Moveset: Dragon Dance, Heal Bell, Outrage, Roost
    Nature: Careful (+SPD -SPA)

Dragonite, the whole reason I made this team in the first place. Played correctly, Dragonite can sweep whole teams. The effort value spread is there so that after one Dragon Dance, Dragonite can out speed many of it's threats. They also allow for him to take special attacks, like Ice Beam, like a hero and not force him to switch. The objective is simple, switch into one of his various resistances, Dragon Dance on the switch, then play accordingly. Heal Bell is there to keep him status free, especially from burn, and as a cleric move for the team. Outrage was chosen over Dragon Claw for it's sheer power. Roost is his recovery move which allows him to drop a couple weaknesses as well. There have been many instances where I have gotten +6 attack and speed from using Dragon Dance then sweeping whole teams.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Dragonite Stall

    Skarmory (Female)
    Ability: Keen Eye
Effort Values: 252 HP, 200 DEF, 40 SPD, 16 SPE
    Item: Shed Shell
Moveset: Brave Bird, Roost, Spikes, Whirlwind
    Nature: Impish (+DEF -SPA)

Skarmory is my second and final phase of entry hazard setup, acting as my spiker. She also acts as a phazer and scout. The sixteen speed effort values are there to out speed other Skarmory. Shed Shell allows her to escape those nasty Steel trappers, like Magnezone, and switch into Heatran to take the Hidden Power fire from Magnezone that was aimed at Skarmory. She is also my main defensive wall, and can take all the dragon attacks aimed at Dragonite.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Dragonite Stall

    Spiritomb (Male)
    Ability: Pressure
Effort Values: 252 HP, 100 DEF, 156 SPD
    Item: Leftovers
Moveset: Curse, Rest, Shadow Ball, Will-O-Wisp
    Nature: Calm (+SPD -ATK)

Spiritomb is my spin blocker and ghost go-to guy. He takes those fighting type attacks aimed at Blissey like a real man, also. Curse is there as a means of secondary statues in case they are already poisoned from Toxic or have a cleric move, and as a last pokémon finisher. Will-O-Wisp gives me a second status move I can use on pokémon that aren't already poisoned.

    Team Construction

So like I said, I wanted to use Dragonite and a stall team. So that has the beginning of my team.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Dragonite Stall

Next I wanted to get my lead out of the way. I chose Swampert because it not only acted as a Stealth Rock user and phazer, but it also could take ice attacks and threaten Lucario with Earthquake.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Dragonite Stall

After that, I wanted to get the second part of my entry hazard damage out of the way. I passed on Rapid Spin in the form of Forretress to choose Skarmory so it can switch into grass attacks, as well as Machamp, and threaten them with Brave Bird. I also picked it over other spikers due to it being a steel type and complimenting Dragonite.

Well now I had pokémon they were weak to fire and ice type attacks, so Heatran was a natural choose. He also acted as my revenge killer and Trick absorber. I also had my entry hazards chosen so I also need a spin blocker. Since I had an idea that I was going to use Blissey, who was completely walled by Gengar and weak to fighting type attacks, I went with Spiritomb. he also acted as my end gamer finisher.

I decided to go with Blissey after all. I mean she can stall, is the best special wall in OU, and also acts as my Toxic user. She's pretty much a shoo-in.

Of course a lot more thought than this went into the making of this team, but it would make this post overly large and boring, not to mention like everyone would have no idea what I was talking about and become extremely confused at my thoughts and ideas.

I didn't choose a spinner of my own because either my team is resistant to it, or outright is immune to it. Though Tentacruel has been in the back of my mind . . .

    Closing

I'm not going to post the whole list of pokémon threats and give you my team's answer to it, because I'm lazy, and I haven't tested this team much. I will tell you though that this team has only like three losses due to either things out of my control (haxs) or I just played bad knowing I should have done something else instead.

So post suggestions as long as they aren't completely retarded.

Curse is a terrible terrible move to give Spiritomb, especially on a RestTalk set, where Sleep Talk could pick Curse when you don't want it to. Hidden Power Fighting or Will-o-wisp are way better options.

You also didn't mention what type your Heatran's Hidden Power was.
But Heatran is way too offensive for this team and doesn't belong here.

Replace Heatran for a Rapid Spinner. Rapid Spin is essential for stall teams, who must preserve their health as much as possible and cannot afford to take damage from multiple entry hazards.

You could either choose Starmie or Tentacruel. Tentacruel has the ability to absorb Toxic Spikes and set down some of its own, but most of your team is immune to Toxic Spikes anyways.

    Starmie @Leftovers
    Timid
    Natural Cure
    136 HP / 156 Def / 216 Spd

    -Surf
    -Thunderbolt
    -Rapid Spin
    -Recover

    Tentacruel @Leftovers
    Calm
    Liquid Ooze
    252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD

    -Surf
    -Rapid Spin
    -Toxic Spikes
    -Sludge Bomb/Knock Off

Both of them prevent your team from getting swept by HP Ice MixApe.

On Shoddy, RestTalk Rotom-W should take the place of Spiritomb as it is a far better Spin blocker.

Now that you mention it, curse really hasn't impressed me much and I do hate talking it. So I'll try your suggestion.

Heatran's HP is electric (hence the yellow and me talking about Gyarados). Also, I don't agree with it not belonging on the team. Having a revenge killer can give me peace of mind when I need an answer to something that has broken through my walls. And like I said, he is an answer to Gyarados, who can be a major problem for this team.

However, I also stated that I wanted to try out Tentacruel, so I may test it out eventually. Thanks.

And like I said, he is an answer to Gyarados, who can be a major problem for this team.
Heatran can't counter Gyarados. Gyarados outspeeds it after a Dragon Dance and KOs with Waterfall.

    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

You can also take a +1 Waterfall with Skarm and WW it out, so Gyara isn't much of a problem =P

Curse is a great move on Tomb especially on heavy stall teams. It craps all over last pokemon with stat up move and Rest such as Cune and Snorlax who otherwise can be saved until last and completely sweep you and come back from a 6-1 deficit and win 0-1 as you cannot phaze them.

Just dont use Sleep Talk with it, its retarded. Tomb can run just Rest with Wish support rather well, this is coming from experience. Use w-o-w > STalk.

Lacks a Spinner so is thus Spikes weak.

Well I really wasn't concerned with the Dragon Dance variants. I was talking about the SleepTalk ones that are bulky. Though I don't think I can ohko it with Heatran, now that I mention it.

So I will probably replace Heatran with Tentacruel in the end.

Sleep Talk was a rather bad idea though.
