    enjoy!

Well you did a good job of removing the text at the bottom of the first edit, but the second one you simply put on a filter.
The removing of text is quite good for a beginner, but I recommend you look up some tutorials to help guide you in the right path for your Photoshopping.
We don't want you to start going in the wrong direction, not that you are, just that I have seen it happen and it is hard to replace old habits.

I don't mean to offend, but you made it worse in both edits, and you barely even did anything to begin with.

I personally like the first edit a lot, yet with the second edit, I think you wanted to go with a cool effect moreso than concentrating on the composition. Next time you want to try something like this, instead of just using a filter on it, I would duplicate the original layer, then filter that layer, and then set the layer to a lower opacity. Then you can grab the eraser and put textures all over it and make it more interesting!

Remember, variety makes it interesting, but be careful not to overuse variety, because you also want harmony in your edits!

    Good luck!

Edit: Don't listen to people who just want to criticize.. usually I find that they just want to do that to boost their own ego.

thank you, you have given me a boost. i will try to broaden my horizons more

    thank you again.

at least some people have constructive criticism here

I don't understand what it is that you did that warrants constructive criticism? For one picture, you cropped the image and altered the color values very slightly. For the other, you applied a basic Photoshop filter. There's nothing here that demonstrates skill or talent; it's just you messing with Photoshop.

Agreed. Sorry but its a fact. :(

He is a beginner and learning the 'basics' of Photoshop whether that means try out some filters, try cropping, practise adding colours, removing colours WHATEVER.
Besides, even if someones art isn't quite super amazingly awesome, doesn't mean you should shoot them down in flames immediately. Give them some support and a but of guidance so they know what to do. If you just insult him, he will never know what he is supposed to be doing instead of his older stuff.

Therefore, if you don't have anything good to say, then don't say anything at all.

Just like people learn to mess around with new mediums, you should ENCOURAGE the person to try NEW things in Photoshop instead of beating them down. If you're such a photoshop know-it-all, then why not give some helpful suggestions on proper graphix-ing instead of putting the person down?

I would love for Dragpy to try some new things out and post more here! <3
