5th Gen Dream World save editing?

Knowing it's possible to send pokemon to your game from a PC via the GTS and editing DNS in the Wi-Fi settings, that raises the question; could the same method be used or tweaked to upload your save file to a PC and PokeSav it?

I'm guessing that everything would still be contained on your card, so that if something bad happened you'd still have your file.

I would imagine if the file is tampered with in any way, next time you log on there will be an error message and you start again from wherever.

Nintendo wouldn't bring out a game with this kind of issue left open.

Then again...
