this is a poem i put in my sig so i figured i should post it so yeah...

-Drowning in Reality/Siren-

trapped in this unreal world,
i was easily fooled by illusions of love.
hopeful visions and empty desires...
wanting to be with you and make you happy,
this is what caused me the most heartache i have ever felt
i became dependent...
my shallow joy came from seeing you happy,
and i never realized that the whole time,
i had given you more than just my love.
i had given you my soul as well...

blindly i followed you through a beautiful haze,
enchanted by sweet words and promises unkept...
in this cloud of dreams, i trailed behind you,
like the sailors of old who were allured by the voice of the sirens...
but what sounded so sweet had led me to the cliff of my fate.

i fell...
deep i plunged into a sea of sorrow and tears,
and the sadness cleared the haze from my eyes.
as i slowly drowned in the reality of it all,
with my arms outstretched, i reached for you...
but you were not there.
as i sank deeper,
the sweet song you enchanted me with flooded my mind,
and for a split second,
i thought you loved me...​
