The confirmed DS games are Final Fantasy III and a Crystal Chronicles variant (is there a third DS title then?). The PSP is getting Advent Children on UMD and Crisis Core, an action adventure spin-off to FFVII.
Because PSP is able to target a wider audience, whereas DS can only be aimed at younger audience unless Nintendo decided to all out change the way Nintendo is portrayed.
I grew-up with Nintendo, so I've never seen the likes of Mario and Zelda as being "kiddy" at all. And as long as they keep making great games based on their vintage characters, I'll keep buying them.
