On Jetix (a Dutch channel) they're running a Pokemon marathon of Advance Battle and the Indigo League because of the 10th aniversary of Pokemon with all kinds of prices and whatnot.
I must say that even with many people having critism on 4Kids not dubbing the series in English anymore, they haven't heard the voices of Advance Battle in Dutch compared to the Johto series in Dutch.
James' and Meowth's voices for instance are really bad; totally unlike what they've been. And the title song is even more worse: in the English version of the title song I could actually hear what was being sung.
In the Dutch version I can hardly hear what they're singing! And I'm Dutch myself!
Conclusion: quality on a scale of 1 - 10 where 1 is most worse and 10 excellent, the series get a 8.5 when compared to the English version (Johto and previous seasons). Advance Battle get a 6.5, now.

Just wanted to give my view of it.

Well, you have to keep in mind that 4Kids and PUSA were creating their own intro songs. The Dutch version sometimes dubs the intro songs as well. I think dubbed songs are in general not as good their original because I get the feeling that the sentences are kinda forced into to make it fit. Ofcourse there are exceptions like how the 4Kids dubbed "Chisaki Mono" into "Make a Wish", which was done rather nice.

Pokémon just isn't as populair as it used to be. Who ever dubs the Dutch version don't really seems to be willing to spend much money in dubbing Pokémon. A simple example is the intro song of Pokémon 4Ever. I think it is save to declare it as a fact that it sounds "not great". Now why wouldn't they just record it a second time? Money, most likely. Misty and Ash are the only ones who's voice remained the same in the movie. In Pokémon Heroes, I've recieved word that the entire voice cast of the movie is different from the tv series.

Our versions actually use quite a lot of English words, though this is the first one to have say 90% Dutch words/sentences. Still, a complete failure if you ask it to me... I wonder what counts more, quantity or quality? Most likely the first one.

I stopped watching the Dutch version since Johto League Champions, so I will have take your word concerning the 90%
