E-reader + DS Lite?

    I am buying a ds lite soon, and I am curious will the e-reader fit in it. As though I have heard that the ds is incompatible. I have also heard the ds lite is compatible.

    Also do the japanese e-reader cards (also the american eon ticket) work on the pal versions of pokemon emerald?
     
    E-reader and DS lites ARE compatible. I just tried it with my DS lite. it works just find, So it should work with a Plain DS as well.

    However, i don't know the anwser to the other question, because i'm in the US
