EASTER EGGS

get it, cause easter's coming up

But let's talk about easter eggs in games - it's always fun when games leave little references to other media, inside jokes or sometimes even really elaborate hidden messages. Do you enjoy looking for them? What are some of your favourite or most memorable easter eggs?

One nearly everyone knows about, but Psycho Mantis breaking the fourth wall and reading your memory card in Metal Gear Solid is probably my favourite Easter Egg in a video game. That was such a great thing to include back in the day. xD

Also, if you call Link "Zelda" in Link's Awakening you get a really snazzy variation of the file select screen that sounds significantly better :3

...in the same game, if you steal anything from the shop your character is called "THIEF" from thereon by every character in the game. xD

I was always amused at finding the skeleton of Indiana Jones in a fridge located somewhere in Fallout: New Vegas. In Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, there's that "nuke the fridge" scene that this Easter Egg is poking fun at.

In Ocarina of Time (N64 version) if you look through the window towards the beginning of the game, before talking to Zelda, you can see portraits of different Mario characters.
