Eddie Guerrero Passes Away....

Rhino and Team 3-D also had the name 'EDDIE' tapped on their wrist they showed to the fans before their match at the Genesis PPV Sunday night in respect of Eddie Guerrero since obviously Eddie is all copywrited and all by WWE I think it was a good way to get around that factor and show their compassion towards Eddie Guerrero and his family, I found that pretty cool.

Wow.. I haven't watched wrestling in a loooong long time, but I remember him from when I was young and did watch it.. That's really sad.. May he rest in peace.

I never knew until yesterday but an ESPN radio host of a show called 'The Herd' hosted by a man named Colin Cowherd said some pretty harsh/rude comments on the recent passing of Eddie Guerrero. He accused Eddie and other wrestlers of steroid usage and said, "who cares that he died" and that Eddie's death was not "newsworthy." ESPN got flooded with complaints about this situation from fans and apologized but do you think he should get fired, especially since he openly admitted he knew nothing about wrestling so he bashed it to death on things he has no idea what he's talking about on the air?

You can listen to what he said >>> https://rapidshare.de/files/7650378/The_Herd_on_Eddie_Guerrero.mp3.html

I almost cried during that RAW ...

I wrote an E-mail to The Oratory (oratory.rajah.com) expressing my thoughts on Eddie's death. When they post it, I'll post it here ...

That is pretty sad,Eddie Guererro passing away.I first heard of it in sunday last week.My sisters woke me up and said that Eddie Guererro passed away.I was really shocked when i heard it.And in Raw on monday,i was really close of crying. But i held it in.I diddin't wanna cry in front of my friends and my brother, but one of my friends cried anyway. It was really sad on monday, even the farewell and thank you messages make you wanna cry.
It's just not fair that he had to die on sunday,it sucked, sucked real bad.

Yea,i'd like to do the same to that little SOB,but i'm just 15.
I'm still a bit sad since i just watched smackdown. All those clips and farewells/thankyous and the video made me really sad.I was extremly close of crying while watching.
I'm really gonna miss Eddie Guererro now.

lol...I don't know if I'd want to hurt him, I just think he should lose his job for being reckless on the mic, but for me I was shocked more then anything when Eddie died, I had to let it sink in when I heard on Sunday but I cried a bit Monday at the RAW tribute show, much like I did in 1999 when Owen Hart died when they did a tribute show for him. The wrestling business is a tough one indeed losing so many people before their time (Brian Pillman, Louie Spicoli, Owen Hart, Rick Rude, Curt Henning, Davey Boy Smith, Ray Traylor a.k.a. Big Bossman, Chris Candido, Eddie Guerrero and many, many more.) but I honestly can say, considering all the casual fans to the people who don't really care about wrestling, know that these people died because of how they live on in the hearts of wrestling fans who spread the word (not taking any credit away from the media either though) so their loss is never in vain and even though I'm Canadian and we already had our thanksgiving, I think America's thanksgiving is coming up so there is something to be thankful for.

...and yes I know I'm not very good at talking about touchy situations but I still try, heh.

i was really shocked when i heard it was so unexpected
my prayers go out to his family and friends rest in peace

Well, it's been a long time since I've seen any kind of "professional" wrestling. When I did watch it, Eddie wasn't one of my favorites, but it still sucks that he died.

R.I.P.

Yeah, I almost cried too, I knew he was close with alot of people but man, he made an impact on everyone. I've seen so many tributes on alot of sites, some still in the making. Man, if only I could find my photoshop thingy I'd make a tribute too. *sighs*

Something's wrong with this Colin dude, how the heck is it not newsworthy? Man I'd go on for hours and hours flaming this guy but I don't really want to.

I agree with the Colin person. A lot of people die per day, but their death is recognized nationally. What makes Eddie better than them?

It's not about who is better than who, it's the fact that he openly admitted that the death of Eddie Guerrero is not "newsworthy" just because he's not a fan of wrestling and just like lot of people out there, wrestling has never gotten the respect it deserves just because of it's cheesy drama or it being pre-determined. Colin Cowherd openly admitted that he knows nothing about wrestling so why trash it if he knows nothing? I love sport's yet I know by far wrestling is a lot tougher then the NFL or NHL, why? Because they constantly train to keep their body in shape so they can take those harsh bumps and they get no "off season" like in any other sports since they're always on the road. But I honestly don't think wrestling will get the respect it deserves from guys like a Colin Cowherd since it's pre-determined, and to me that's a sad way to look at things but hey I'm a wrestling fan so I obviously have a different view. :P

Well, he was a world wide wrestler, pretty much everyone knew who he was.
But you are sort of right, I don't think they needed so many news coverages about, not that I'm saying they shouldn't have, but they did a tad too much.
