    I want to change my av, but everytime I try to, it says, "Error - cannot find an image at the specified URL. Please make sure that you have entered a valid URL."

    Can anybody tell me what to do, please?
     
    You're trying to upload your avatar from another website, correct? ^^; Perhaps they have some kind of anti-hotlink script installed. Have you tried saving it to your computer and uploading it from there?
     
    Yeah it's alot more simple if you just save the pic to your cpu first.

    How do I do that?

    You right click on the image, then hit "Save file as..." (or something similar; depends on your browser). ^^;
     
    And once you've saved it there, go to your User CP, Edit Avatar, and upload the image you wanted for your avatar. Just make sure it's smaller than 130x130. ^^
     
    The only valid file types are .jpg/.gif right?

    If you are trying to enter a URL you need to have a host for the pic.So you need to upload image unless you put it on Photobucket or something and then get the URL.
     
    Thank you!!! I did it! I've always had to ask people for pictures, since I never knew how. Now I do!!! Thank you guys!

    Is there anyway I can make a picture smaller?

    Even Paint can do that. :P Open up your image, go to Image -> Stretch and Skew, and keep shrinking until it's an acceptable size.

    You can also use Photoshop. You crop tool or resize image by Image Size(Or something like this.)
