3rd Gen Eevee Evolution Problem

Just give it vitamins, let it battle in elite four and such. And DON'T trade it when its still Eevee or it will goes to original happiness level where it used to be.

Duh! but the book said this pokemon was the only exeption, time is the evoution trigger! so if it was happy then when it hits Ru/Sa game pak it WILL evolve i have tried it before
 
help!

is it true that i have to trade my eevee brothers from leafgreen/firered to ruby/saphire to get them evolve into umbreon and espeon??? i hope no, it's gonna be a mess!!!!!!!!

i had many eevees when i played silver and what i did to evolve them then was to place them in the first place of my party as soon as they born and give them EXPERIENCE SHARE. i defeated the elite four many times that way using pkm level 70-80 (just to be sure i wouldn't lose). as soon as the babes apeared i switch them back for a bigger bro. then, when they asked me if i wanted to switch pkm (once one of the enemies fainted) i dragged out the eevee again and switched it out again. it takes patience but works... i think they evolved this way at level 40, but in one day each...

PLEASE TELL ME THAT THE TRADE IS NOT NECESSARY!!! i have not finished the ruby i have, it's not even mine!!! i like leafgreen more and that's the pokedex i wanted to complete so i want to evolve them there and not by trade!!

another thing... i want my eevees to be great. when should i feed them with vitamins?? and when should i evolve them?? i had no idea about this... please help!

PD: pkm become happier if you let them play anythime from 3pm to 4pm (i think) with gary's sister, the hair cuts are a good idea but i'm not sure about candies (I DON'T LIKE THAT CANDY STUFF!!!!!!!) thanks for the bell tip (i didnt know what it was for) :D
