    I read in a guide book u can get Espeon/Umbreon with out colloseum

    You get national pokedex
    Then get your eevee to "not able to like u any more" according to Daisy
    When you can trade with r/s and its the right time of day in r/s
    trade the happy Eevee to r/s and it will evolve

    this is not tested yet
     
    Are you talking about an official guide? They suck. They say Wurmple evolves based on time when its evolution deals with IVs... And I beleive people proved before in Ru/Sa it was random or didn't evolve at all or did they not?

    And don't waste your time getting it to like you before trading. When you trade it, it won't like the new owner as much...

    I'm talking about the Nintendo written one
    Also I think its just the link with a game with a clock
    As I said It is'nt confrimed
    but I will tell u when I beat the game
    I am going to waste my time on getting it to like me before I trade it because I think if u trade it when it likes u to r/s if uses the clock to decide on evovlution type

    If you trade any Pokemon, it's happiness resets. So, making it happy before trading is useless, you have to do it in R/S if you want to attempt the happiness evolutions for Eevee.

    Short list of things that improve happiness
    Gaining a level
    Winning a contest - especially if it gets it's picture taken
    Beating the Elite 4

    Well, based on my experience of getting Crobat, which I caught a Zubat at L7 using a Luxury ball (jumps happiness up to near the max). Never let your Pokemon faint if you can help it, and leave it in your party, because it's happiness increases by a certain number of steps. Try and let your Pokemon be the only one who fights in a battle. Even with the Luxury ball and all this, my Golbat only evolved at L34.

    Mines been trying to evolve at 29 and I still haven't gotten the National Pokedex.. Its 41 now and still haven't gotten to the E4 quite yet

    My Golbats always evolve at level 23 :p They always have in G/S/C and Ru/Sa. I'm good like that. I don't catch them with Luxury Balls or anything.

    And I still can't remember if Eevee even evolves without a stone in Ru/Sa, if it evovles with time, or if it is random. Bad memory >.<

    Its with friendship and either a.m. (Espeon) or p.m. (Umbreon)

    and I know that friendship restarts when you trade but I'm going to see if it works
     
    I'm trying to get my Eevee to evolve into Espeon, and I bought the Nintendo Official Guide. It says to make sure Eevee loves you in LF/FR, then trade it over to R/S immediately based on the time of day you want. I think your supposed to make sure Eevee jumps a level after, but I've tried it twice and it's not working, so I'm not sure what Nintendo meant in their guide.

    Since the guide makes no sense, I have several ideas... I know it depends on friendship and time of day for Espeon or Umbreon, but so far nada. Especially since the friendship level resets when you trade them.

    Any ideas fellow trainers?? :cheeky:
     
    Well, if someone would happen to breed an Eevee, trade to R/S and test out whether it evolves like it did in GSC, then that's the only way we can find out. And you'll have to build the happiness level up in R/S, not FR/LG, because happiness resets after trading.
     
    So Espeon can only evolve in FR/LG because of the time add-on correct? I guess I'll have to try making my Eevee happy in R/S because I already traded it over.. any suggestions on how to make it happier quicker ? I know leveling helps, keeping it in first in my group, things like that, just seeing if there's a quicker way. Gosh it was so tedious making it love my char. twice in FR/LG.. ^^;;
     
    I'm still having a lot of trouble trying to get Eevee to evolve into Espeon.. have any of you been able to do so yet and how did you do so ??
