I just caught one at the route in front of the power plant. I started training and got him up to level 35. Should I continue training and whats a good moveset?

Electabuzz is really good. I just trained him up to 42

As previously said, its better to raise it from an Elekid.

But it is worth it either way.

Tell me about it, mine's like level 32 though.
    How's the 42?

He's very easy to train. I put an exp. share on him and battled the elite 4. Now, he kills like half the E4 with Thunder and Ice punch

    Amazing what level, mate?
Nice work on beating the Bges'+E4 that quick. Excellent.

I hate the look of electabuz he is just one pokemon that annoys me, but i love elkid and now the new one, elcatbire.

If i chose just to keep elkid and not evolve it, what are the pros and cons of that, if any?

The cons are that the stats aren't as powerful. The pros are... look, just go to bulbapedia. They have good articles on both Pokémon. Decide for yourself.

I wound raise him as he leatns some good moves like Ice Punch, fire punch ect.

    Off Topic: WOOT 100th Post!!

    Thunder Punch
    Ice punch
    Swift
    Quick Attack

He gets Thunderbolt at 48 and Thunder at like 57

^No. He needs to be more diverse. He would seem to be something like
    -Thunderbolt
    -Ice Punch
    -Fire Punch/Thunder Wave
    -Psychic/filler
Thunderbolt for STAB, Ice Punch to cover his Ground weakness and the other two are mainly for coverage.
