Interesting thread. I would like to attempt to clarify this problem we are having here. The point that is trying to be made is that thinking Parukia sounds better (or even different) than Palkia is exactly like thinking "there" sounds better than "their" or "they're". The only difference in both examples is the spelling of the word. Pronouncing it "Pa-ROO-key-ya" is incorrect, but it is your choice to pronounce a word in any fashion you choice, however badly slaughtered that pronunciation is. Now, if you like Parukia better because of the SPELLING, that is a different story.
As for Electivire, personally I believe it sounds much better than Elekible. Elekible sounds more like a pre-evo to Electabuzz than an evo. Elekid -> Elekible -> Electabuzz. Electivire fits better. Of course I don't know any of the Japanese names (besides the three I have learned here), so I am not used to any of them, nor care about any of them, to have a strong opinion for them.
BTW - I do think it ironic that someone with the SCREEN NAME of Electivire prefers a different name. LOL
