Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I'm still new. But here is my question...

Going against the elitle four soul silver, tell me what you think of my team.

    Weepinbell-38
    Vine whip
    Gastro Acid
    Cut
    Sleep powder

    Magneton-39
    Spark
    Thundershock
    Magnet bomb
    Flash

    Typhlosion 38
    swift
    famle wheel
    lava plume
    ember

    Lugia 47
    estrasensory
    fly
    hydro pump
    aeroblast

    Alakazam 42

    recover
    physic
    focus punch
    psybeam

My last one, I never really needed a 6th one, but I just got a dratini, so he's takign that slot with a experience share. He is only 27, so no use.

Any tips on what I should do? I am gonna level them before I fight, but anyone I should replace/give moves/evolve, ect. ect. Thanks

You need to train a good amount. I'd get all of your Pokemon to at least the high 40's before going to the Elite Four. Will's (The first guy) lowest Pokemon is level 40 and Lance's highest Pokemon is level 60.
Teach Typhlosion something other than 3 fire moves. If you have Dig, try that. Teach it Flamethrower in place of the weaker of the fire moves you keep.
Teach something other than Flash to Magneton.

You actually need a lot of work. Go to Bulbapedia.net and do your research.

Yeah, wrong section buddy. I'll just move this over to the In-Game Team Help forum for you. =]

    Lance's highest is actually level 50, not 60. ;)

Along with what Ace said, you'll really need an Ice-type, or at least something with Ice moves, to handle Lance. Since I had a Feraligatr I just spammed Ice Fang, so you might have to go to the Safari Zone and get a Sealeo -> Walrein, or go to the Seafoam Islands and look for Dewgong/Jynx.

Weepinbell is so underleveled. Here is a suggestion, maybe evolving weepinbell into victrebell will increase it's strength and maybe get rid of cut for energy ball, razor leaf or wring out.

    Magneton-39
    Spark
    Thundershock
    Magnet bomb
    Flash

First of all get rid of flash it is hardly needed. Replace it with something like Thunder or Thunderbolt. Magneton needs to be level up a bit more so keep trying.

    Typhlosion 38
    swift
    famle wheel
    lava plume
    ember

Woah, typhlosion needs to be at least at level 45+, it is vital as it is a great pokemon to tackle the E4 with. Teach it blast burn, or flamethrower.

    Lugia 47
    estrasensory
    fly
    hydro pump
    aeroblast

A pokemon with such great potential. Level it up and replace fly with rain dance to up the power of hydro pump.

    Alakazam 42
    recover
    physic
    focus punch
    psybeam

Also level this one up, it has a good moveset, try replacing it with focus blast or even replace psybeam with psyco cut.

So yeah, I have higlited the things you need to do. They are only suggestions. Have fun battling the Elite Four. Good Luck.

Haha, wow. I'll take your advice for replacing my attacks, but I'm leaving this place forever. Right after this thread, I went to the E4 to see how far I'd make it, and won. You guys give the E4 to much credit for what they were worth. All I needed was a few revives and hyper potions, and I won. Lugia, indeed, was my savior though :D I'll keep training and thanks for the help.

Well, let's see...2/5 of the trainers are weak to Psychic, one of which is weak to both Flying and Psychic. Even Karen, whose types are focused mainly on Dark and therefore are immune to Psychic attacks, don't share the same immunity to Flying attacks, or vice-versa. Add in the fact that Lugia's a legendary and automatically has higher stats along with a higher health pool than most other Pokémon at 47, oh and that it was your highest leveled...yeah, it's easy to understand why you would be able to sweep through the whole team on your first go with one Pokémon. Anybody can use their highest leveled Pokémon to clear through the Elite Four as long as it as at least one type advantage.

It's a lot cheaper and much easier to build a well-balanced team rather than have to use one powerhouse and use the rest as safeties in case said powerhouse manages to faint. Against Dragonite, STAB Ice Beam from Walrein > "woops I missed" Hydro Pump from Lugia, or even a STAB Extrasensory.
