3rd Gen Emerald fakes ?

    Im wanting to buy emerald from ebay - because it tends to be cheaper - but i noticed that the box art on loads of them all differ - are these all fake ?

    Is the one ive found in shops

    alot of them seem to have different background colors to that one ?

    Are they fake, or are there generally different background colors ?

    Well the first one is the closest to my box, but the "get connected" circle is on the right on my box, and the first one doesn't even have a rating on it. The other two are definitley fake for the Emerald Version letters are nothing like they are supposed to be. The bottom two aslo have the official nintendo seal, but they look fake because the word on the bottom is supposed to be seal, but in your pictures, it looks like a much bigger word. On the real Emerald game, the seal is on the back of the box. I'd say they're all fake.

    The Emerald box is holo-graphic, and they might've took/scanned the picture on a slightly different angle. That would explain why they are brighter in some spots than others.

    Yes the fourth one is the only real one I'd say, as it's the same as mine.
     
    the colors could be different because the scaned it on to the computer.

    Yeah I have heard some rumors like that...The fake ones...But I am not sure how true they are...But maybe...We are not living in a world which is full of holy people...

    is not fake.

    That is the version that is in the shops up here.

    So im assuming the following:

    get connected sign on the right = US
    get connected sign on the left = UK/EU ?

    Unless of course it wasnt released int he UK/EU and they all bought fake ones ?

    The actual shops like GAME, EB, WH SMITH, GForce, Game Station etc im talking about.

    edit: in saying all of that - i checked the EB USA site and the image it lists is:

    A little advice. It is not worth trying to find a copy of the game on eBay that is actually real. Even when you find a real copy, the price will probably be higher than the other ones, for people might know the others are fake. It is actually smater to buy from the store, because you know exactly what you get, and you pay after you get it.
