    In Emerald, after defeating Steven Stone at Meteor Falls, he'll say this.

    Come to think of it, ever since our paths first crossed in Granite Cave in Dewford, I had this feeling. I thought that you would eventually become the Champion. My predictions usually come true. And where will you go from here? ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Fufufu, even I couldn't tell you that.

    But how about the last line?

    And where will you go from here? ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Fufufu, even I couldn't tell you that.

    When he said where will from here he stated that it must be a place of some sort or a special cave, but why is it so important/personal that he can't tell even the player? ...
     
    What he means is that the player should make his/her own decision about where to go next.

    I know or is it one of the plot holes or just they want to keep us wondering...
     
    If they do make a remake they'll probally extend steven's part from after the E4 tournament.
    But I also reckon nintendo are just showing a message of ... What happens after the league?
    You never find out fully like does the hero stay in their region. Or do they be a mini-red and move on to the next region?
     
    I think Nintendo is just doing that
    "There's lots of things to do after the Pokemon League!"
    Either that or they're just trying to be mysterious.
