Emerald's Hair: Real or a Hat, or Something Else? =P

    This is probably one of the most silliest threads I've made, but bear with me, I want to know your opinions and crazy theories... =P

    If you all have seen this, you can see that there's some sort of black line behind the bangs of Emerald... either this is a signification that he's wearing a hat... or this is part of that gem thing in his head...

    Aside from his platform shoes and long sleeves, is he wearing a hat like Ruby? XD
     
    it's his real hair but either with a lot of gel of he used glue because his hair doesn't mess up

    Hmmmm. Well, he does have that gem in his head. I don't know if they explain that (not that far yet) but maybe it is a hat. o_o But then again PokeSpe has really freakin' weird hair styles (take Red's or Pearl's for example).

    It is awfully shiny. Maybe it's a tin hat. =D Some paranoid people who believe that aliens will eventually invade Earth wear weird tin hats 'cause they say it will prevent the aliens from reading their minds or brainwashing them. O____o
     
    It could go either way. It would really explain the gem in his forehead, though.
    I'd like it to be his hair though.
    Just iwht mounds and mounds of hairgel...MOUNDS.

    But yeah, I was actually intrigued myself when I took a closer look @ Emerald's bangs and saw that black thing... it seems to be more visible and I saw a lot of this when I took a good look @ those close up pictures of his... strange as it may seem, I started to doubt if it was real... so there ya go.
     
    It can't be real, i mean just LOOK at it... scary thing... it's like a weird creature on his head

    (serious, I posted this once: "Who here thought that Brendan/Yuuki/Ruby's hat was his hair? Please tell me I am not the only one! RSE has been out forever, yet only this year did I realize that the White Thing on his head was a hat and not spiky white hair."

    your not alone, at first i though untill I found a comic on how and why brendan has the white hat. He got cut up protecting May when they were little and May began crying, so yeah. I now draw Brendan the right way! But he looked cute with the white hair,

    I believed too that this is Ruby's hair.
    But maybe Nintendo made that as a hair, and Hidenori Kusaka turned it out into a hat, to do it more normal.
     
    It's a hat?? Or a real hair?? Maybe it's a hat because I saw the black thingy inside his hair.
    And if that's real hair, then that gem is represent to "Emerald" and the black thingy will be something like a shadow...
    If that's fake, then Emerald is create by Prof.Oak??
    I really disappoint for the Emerald. I thought he's a tall kid but he's not... He's short and the hands and shoes are just a machine...

    As for Ruby's hat, he put on his hat because Ruby want to cover his scare... He was attacked by Salemance because he wants to protect Sapphire...
     
    You know, I wouldn't put anything past these people, considering the Ruby's white thing IS REALLY A CRAZY HAT, but I'm inclined to believe that that THING isn't a hat for Emerald... Spiky hat is crazy enough, but this thing has BANGS.

    I will say that it's possibly a wig. In fact, I hope it is. Emerald's hair makes Gold's look extremely normal. Of course, if it is a wig, why? To make himself look taller (and more ridiculous)? To hide a secret identity?

    Off-topic: Geh, Emerald just should not have existed. Mitsuru is already perfect to be Emerald-- he's obsessed with green and he's a pretty major character; why can't they say Emerald was his real name and Mitsuru was a nickname or a false identity or SOMETHING?

    Some people suggest that Ruby was originally designed in the games so that the white thing is hair, but I'm inclined to believe otherwise. You can see a little black peeking out in the design for Emerald, so.

    The answer is so obvious that I'm amazed that nobody has mentioned it. That "black Shadow" is a headband that goes behind his bangs, and the Emerald is attached to the front of it.
