I've done a lot of writing overall, recently I've been in less RPs though and have focused on my own ideas. This is my first Fan Fic of any kind (not counting my horrific Tenchi story from 5th grade), I'm quite proud of it I'm not sure if it can measure up to some of the other stuff on this site though. Compared to this, the other forum site I go on is mediocre. Anyways, here goes nothing.
"'WAKE UP SNORLAX' cried the little Oddish. But the pokemon slumbered on. The small grass pokemon sighed. 'I am too small to do anything,' she said to herself. The tiny Oddish trudged on, looking for someone who would be able to wake the sleeping Snorlax…" The little girl smiled to herself as she read to her stuffed Teddiursa that sat limply propped up against the pillow beside her.
"Are you reading those again?" another nosey young voice from the hallway questioned. The little girl on the bed with the wildly curling brown hair shrunk behind her book, flattening the plush toy's face. A taller child entered, a girl of about eight.
"Missa, you know that pokemon don't exist! Those are baby stories!" The older girl schooled her expression to look very akin to their mother when she was agitated by either of her two daughters. "You don't want to be a baby do ya?"
The girl sitting on the bed didn't answer. Her green eyes grew wider, and all that young Missa wanted to do was disappear out of sight of her overbearing sister Brynn, like the Abra named Abbie in one of her books. Abbie liked to be alone too. It was pokemon that Missa understood, not other loud, sticky children such as Brynn and her friends.
"Just come out and play with us." Brynn said, sitting next to her sister on the short colorful bed. She removed the open book from her sister's pale hands and tossed it aside, causing the pages to fold and go askew as it hit the pink carpeted floor. Brynn put her sun tanned hand around Missa's tiny delicate one and led her out of her bedroom door. "C'mon, Missa. Alex and Silas are waiting outside!" The frail girl was dragged through the white-washed windowed kitchen and out through the screen door where two boys were kicking a soccer ball in the back yard.
"Awww, you couldn't catch that?! You could never play goalie!" the blonde boy taunted Alex who had missed his mark and stood glaring at Silas. The tan, brown-haired boy was not one to loose. His intense brown eyes concentrated on the game, trying to best Silas. Even at the young age of eight, these children were pushed to be extremely driven and competitive.
"Boys, boys!" Missa called out, breaking up their game. Her bossy sister was obviously always in charge. The black and white pentagon-covered sphere whirled to a stop abruptly at Silas' feet.
"Where are we going this time? It better not be stupid like before," Silas commented, still bitter about following the girl-leader to the edge of Whistlefield where they lived, only to see an unimpressive grove of trees that a brook ran through.
"Of course it's not stupid!" Brynn exclaimed, a bit abashed by his statement although her red face quickly covered it.
"Oh yeah?" Silas taunted. "Where is it then?"
Some friend he is. Missa thought in disdain, clutching the Teddiursa toy she had carried out with her. Abbie would have agreed and teleported away by now, but the small curly-haired brunette could not disappear, try as she might.
"I'll show you!" Brynn had resorted to puffing out her wide-spread chest by now. Alex, amenable as he was at the moment and as well as not agreeing with Silas, walked slowly over to the girl, saying in a soft and slightly raspy voice, "Alright then, guys. Let's go already!"
It was decided then, and Missa was to be dragged along as part of the group whether she liked it or not. For once she was looking forward to going somewhere else, rather than staying inside while Brynn and her friends could be heard through the bedroom window and the young waif of a girl devoured fantasy book after book. Besides, it would do her pale skin good to see some sunlight.
