emulators not working

    I am having a problem with every emulator on my PC. The emulators seem to make no sound. I tried everything i could think of. some run at 200% without sound. the sound is not muted. I tried to reinstall the drivers and DirectX and they did nothing. My PC is running Vista. Please Help me.

    MEKA Says : "sound buffer stop. Restarting Stream" As long as it should be making sound. The sound is fine on SIMCITY 2000. Windows media player fails. Other programs are untested. I will test them.

    Make sure all the while you are searching on the internet for the answer. Are you running a USB headset or speakers?
     
    All I have hooked up is a Wireless N adapter and a printer. Scummvm also fails unless i run the scumm program directly (E.G. Backyard Football without Scummvm)
