Doesn't he have enough abuse from his poison frog jabbing him every two seconds? Haha.

Actually, Brock isn't a bad choice for Chim. However, given the writers' neglect (look at his Marshstomp), I don't think he's a good choice for Chim and its obvious potential.
 
Yeah, but there is the whole "De Paulifying" him. You know, Brock would probably try to rehabilitate Chimchar after all of that abuse. Plus oen this with DP that you may have noticed is that his pokemon actually get screen time now and can dispaly some personality.

I could really see Brock doing that which was one reason why I think Brock would get Chimchar but really I perfer that Chimchar would go to Ash since then we know that we get to see Chimchar more and basically grow into a real battler under Ash.

Is it just me or does it seem that Ash is getting a lot of pokemon that Paul deems unworthly to keep. Stary and now Chimchar.
 
What?! Brock can't get another pokemon. He's gotten the same amount as ash has. Happiny and Crogunk=Starly and Turtwig. I can see ash with chimchar, but knowing ash, he will sucky up chimchar and it will be a loser like pikachu. Turtwig should evolve at least once. It might be Torterra vs. Torterra. Where the hell did Paul get Torterra? It popped out of thin air.

I think they will trade. In one episode, Zoey says " I know! Dawn, you will train Aipom!" And then it cuts to a comercial and doesn't say anything about it for the rest of the episode.

On many forums, everyone says Ash will get Riolu, but I strongly disagree. ESpecially since some idiot made a movie about Lucario thinking it was a legendary. Then out pops little Riolu! And if Ash DID catch a Riolu, it wouldn't be able to evolve, making it just plain sucky. Tell me what you think Ash's last two pokemon will be.

Ugh. Please, that was so tactless on Zoey's part. She knew Ash for a total 10 seconds, and stated such a rude remark unchallenged? As far as I tell, it's in the Japanese version, so. Just burns me for some reason.

I don't think he'll get Riolu. Because we already did the Lucario vein with the 8th movie. Then again, they're trying to adhere to game canon in D/P, so it's more likely. Yeah, give it to Dawn or Brock. Well, I can see Brock with it, actually.
 
Well it's not like the writers are thinking rationally anymore. If they do trade than I wouldn't be suprised.
 
See if in the beginning of the series Chimchar was loyal to Paul and won all the battles against Ash. Then he will keep him because it will most likely evolve. But it will hit Paul somehow and make Paul know to respect it more and Meowth will probably be somewhere in the scene and translate to Paul what Chimchar(or Monferno) is saying.

I hope Ash does get Chimchar, I always envisioned him getting Chimchar anyways. I always feel bad when Paul gets on Chimchar's case. :'(
 
I now deem this thread poitless sice we all know ash gets chimchar
 
Hey, I'm the one that deems threads here pointless, thanks. Heh. Oh, well. Since the sites are taking to Chimmy as being Ash's, I guess this has become obsolete.

Locking/suspending/whatever. Now, we just have to wait for the English version. Oh, boy. Heh.
