From the System of a Down's Self-Titled Debut CD booklet, as a prologue to the song War? :

"We first fought the heathens in the name of religion, then Communism, and now in the name of drugs and terrorism. Our excuses for global domination always change."

As with most of my poems, this one has no theme. Just written when I'm in the mood or thoughts come to mind. The quote is just something I try to add when I feel that something needs to be addressed. Today was a day for me to hate the world.

And you all have a great day.

    Spoiler:

    No theme?
Hmm....I think it has a very interesting theme.
    I found it very enjoyable.
The way how one gains tremendous power, but eventually regrets it, is fascinating to read.
    Well done!

It has a very mysterious and ominous tone it. Towards the middle I felt like the speaker felt empowered, yet cocky, and at the end they lose it all.

And I'll have to disagree with you when you there's no theme; all poetry has a theme. I thought the theme of this could be change or even loss, but their certainly is a theme.

Very well done, though. I'm usually really nitpicky when it comes to poetry and prose, but I really liked this

    Thank you guys.
I guess I'll rephrase that; while writing the poem, I had no theme in mind and writing what was coming to my head.
