I have been absent for a while from competitive battling and I'm finally ready to get back into it with summer coming soon. I just spent this weekend building a team that can help me enter the Platinum metagame, which is one I'm new to since I left a few months before Platinum was released. Help would be great as I want to come back strong. I'm open to all types of criticism and I want you to point out all of my weaknesses and give me suggestions to fix them. Now on to the team. :nervous:

Torrent / Relaxed Nature
240 HP / 216 DEF / 52 Sp.ATK
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Stealth Rock
My lead MixMence. His main job is to set up Stealth Rock to assist my sweepers. He also helps take out most of the current metagame's leads and can come back later to assist in the sweeping.
*image removed* @ Life Orb
Intimidate / Naive Nature
232 ATK / 24 Sp.ATK / 252 SPD
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Outrage
Part of the 'MetaMence' combo I found on Smogon posted by joshe. Meta and Mence sweep togeather. Meaning when one falls the other can step up and finish the team. Mence carries pretty standard stuff. Earthquake helps with steels, Stone Edge for Zapdos and Gyara, and Outrage for STAB.

Clear Body / Adamant Nature
48 HP / 252 ATK / 12 DEF / 196 SPD
- Agility
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Thunderpunch
The second piece to the 'MetaMence' combo. Basically will be picking up where Salamence left off. Like Mence, Agiligross is pretty standard. Earthquake for the different steels and fire types, Meteor Mash provides for STAB, and Thunderpunch for coverage.
*image removed* @ Choice Scarf
Flash Fire / Naïve Nature
4 HP / 252 Sp. ATK / 252 SPD
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Explosion
- Hidden Power [Ice]
According to joshe, the only Pokémon that manage to take out MetaMence at once are Mamoswine and Swampert. So an investment in Celetran would help out with that. Basic scarfed Heatran. Flamethrower is for the STAB and Earth Power for things like opposing Heatrans. Explosion for that last minute finish and HP Ice for DD Mence and Gliscor.
*image removed* @ Leftovers
Natural Cure / Bold Nature
252 HP / 220 DEF / 36 SPD
- Thunder Wave
- Grass Knot
- Recover
- Hidden Power [Ice / Fire]
The other part to Celetran that will assist with MetaMence. Twave for cripple. Grass Knot for STAB and Recover to recover (duh). Not sure which HP it choose since I'm not sure what else I need to cover. Hopefully you guys and help settle it for me. :)
*image removed* @ Choice Band
Technician / Adamant Nature
248 HP / 252 ATK / 8 SPD
- X-Scissor
- Bullet Punch
- Brick Break
- Pursuit
Finally, CB Scizor. To tell you the truth, he was sort of just tacked onto the team so he's basically a filler and can easily be replaced if needed (though I may just be ignorant and don't see that he's helping). This set is so common that I don't think an explanation is needed.
