Hello, Event Organisers! Welcome to your planning section.
Here you will create a thread to plan out your event in which the Get-Together staff and your fellow Event Organisers will be able to stop in and leave some constructive thoughts should they have any ideas that might help you out.
Once you have finished planning, complete with a draft of your thread for the actual Get-Together, the GT staff will review it and either accept it or tell you what needs to be fixed. You can let us know that you're ready for us to take a look at your thread by setting its prefix to "Pending". Accepted threads will receive an "Approved" label. We are aiming to officially open the Get-Together on the 24th of July, so all events that are planned will need to be tagged as Accepted by then if they are to appear.
The Theme and Scoring
We are bringing back the competitive side to the Get-Together this year and combining it with our theme of Pokemon Crossing, combining PC's love of both the Pokemon and Animal Crossing franchises.
Participants in the Get-Together will be separated into two, roughly evenly-sized, teams. These teams will then earn points by participating in your events. Every 200 points reached will allow a team to add a new building to their growing village.
Your events will be split into tiers for scoring purposes with small recurring events earning a team 50 points per session, larger events 100 points and highly-competitive GT-long events earning 200 points for the winner at the end of the Get-Together.
Ultimately, it is the GT staff who will determine the point value each event should have, but we will take your suggestions for which category your event entails into consideration. We ask that, in turn (where possible) you also take the theme of this year's Get-Together into account.
