Error when opening game

Hey guys,
I was editing the encounters.txt in my PBS Folder. I already had a backup of the file with me, so I was editing it without fear. So I completely deleted everything in the file, leaving a blank page, and then saved it.
I did this as per the tutorial by Thundaga in youtube. Ep 4: Wild Pokemon, Legendaries and Metadata. (Sorry but I am not allowed to post links yet)
Then when I tried to open my game through RMXP, I got an error message saying

I immediately restored the encounters.txt's original copy, but nothing seemed to work. I'm still not sure whether it really is the encounters.txt which is causing the problem or is it something else. When I tried to open my game.exe, it showed the following error message:

Script 'PScreen_Load' line 165: NoMethodError occurred.

undefined method `width' for nil:NilClass

---------------------------

I don't have a whole lot of scripting knowledge,but I can do a few things here and there in the script editor.But I just can't seem to fix this thing. It would really mean a lot to me if somebody helped me with this.

Sometimes, old save files mess up scripts.
Try deleting yours.

EDIT: Also, can you describe what you did. If it's a youtube video, just paste the part after the /watch?, that's the video id, and is good enough to find the video without a link.

I didn't quite get you. How do I delete the save file?

Well, on my computer (Windows 7), it's in Documents/Saved Games/(name of your game).
Take a look there.

Yeah, I deleted it, and it worked perfectly fine in my game.exe, but when I try to run the game through rmxp, it still shows the same error message!
EDIT: I fixed it, and I don't know how XD. Maybe it was because of some network problems or something, I'm not sure...
