Do you think the games should be released on eShop? I'd definitely like it myself, since I miss the games. What about you? Share your opinion.

I would really like to see them on the eShop. However, a remake of Ruby/Sapphire is probably going to happen instead.

*shrugs* Well, you can never replace the nostalgia of playing it as it is. Plus, there is the matter of FireRed and LeafGreen. I can kill for those.(Alright, not that extreme but you get my point.)

I think it'd be nice to see them in the eShop. However, I have working copies of all generation III games and two GBAs, an SP, original DS, and DS Lite, so I wouldn't buy them. I'm perfectly capable of still playing them, haha. That and like it's been said, there will probably be RS remakes.

As much as I'd love to see them there, I think the 3 gen games will never be in the eShop.

    1. If there will ever be any main pokemon games there, the games would be from gen 1 and/or 2. The eShop doesn't even have any GBA games there besides the ambassador ones >.>

    2. It's not possible to complete the games (to catch them all) without:
    - Trading (non virtual console games have multiplayer functions)
    - Events (which are unobtainable now)

I would rather have remakes, for the multiplayer
(and hopefully the return of the pokemon-follow-you from HG/SS)

You cannot convince me the remakes are getting remade. >.<

I can tell you this, loads of people will buy them however it's more likely that we will see RS remakes pretty soon which I would prefer.

As much as I love RSE, I don't think they will be released on eShop. For the reasons mentioned by others (ie, impossible to trade, GBA games other than the ambassador ones aren't available on eShop, etc).

I'd prefer to see a remake, since my Generation III games still work. :)

Why eShop if (a) you can't trade and (b) those games (the Hoenn ones at least) are bound to be remade sooner or later, whether said remakes are needed or wanted? And even if trading was an option, you'd still have to buy all five games to catch 'em all and that STILL wouldn't net you the event only ones. Because of all of this, I wouldn't even recommend the (already remakes) (vastly superior) FR/LG to be put on eShop.

Besides, my DS Lite still plays GBA games perfectly, and I still have a GBA if trading is ever needed.

AppStore would be better... I wouldn't find myself playing GBA games on a 3DS anymore. There's a reason why they left that behind since the DS Lite. But lately, it's getting trendy for companies apparently to re-release their games on mobile platforms. Look at GTAIII, Soul Calibur, etc. Myself, I've jailbroken my device and I have installed gpSPhone, a GBA Emulator for iOS. I'm playing through emerald now -- and the touch controls are boss, I swear. The only thing that's dissapointing is the lack of MP now.

I would like Gen 3 games on the eShop, there could be wireless 3DS download play communications instead of a link cable. But I am 100% positive they will be making hoenn remakes. Plus people probably still have the games that work, (Although it would increase the popularity of those games.)
