Back in my Emerald game I used a Rayquaza as my Ev training-whore, so he got an equal amount of EVs as my actual trainee got... and once Rayquaza got +20 to his Attack stat. I didn't care, since I never used him, but I was amazed at the increase. Closest I came to that one is Kadabra, who got +17 to his Special Attack.
Unless you're training an extremely high level Poke, you won't ever see the increases go up by much, because the most EVs gotten will increase it 2-3 extra points within a single level. Only reason Rayquaza went up 20 is because he was high enough to (he has Pokerus) get probably maxed out in Attack (I was EV training my Metagross), or close to maxed out, before he hit the next level, so it jumped considerably.
In my Emerald, I had my Heracross go up 11+ in speed, which was odd, because I didn't speed EV train it that much, I was just starting. I bet in Diamond, my Turtwig will gain some Att. Evs pretty fast.
