I want to EV train my competitive battle team.

But I don't know where to start.

    Also....how would I manage to battle w/ a lvl. 1 pokemon anyways?

I know I need Macho Brace equiped, and pokerus.

And also to do 100 of each EV in vitamins..

    But that's about it..

you don't NEED macho brace and pkrs (but they make it go faster).

your pokemon will also get EVs when it has exp share holding and doesnt fight itself, just let a real strong pokemon (already EV maxed out) do the fighting, so your pokemon with exp share can also get allot of experience to level up swiftly. also when you want to use machobrace you can put it first in your team and right away switch it, it will still get all the EVs (in this case multiplied by two)

a pokemon can get a max of 510 EVs, when you've reached this it'll get the effort ribbon. 100 in each stat can be done by vitamines. in every stat it can get a max of 255 (but dont train it further than 252 since it will at one point be rounded up).

check the pokedex of serebii which pokemon give what EV (and how much).. also check out the thread i started yesterday for 'best EV training spots'. one example; gyarados normally gives 2 EV on attack, with pkrs it becomes 4, with macho brace ánd pkrs its 8.

anyway, you'll see great improvement while you're training in the stats you chose to train.
