when i use Exp Share to sort of "piggyback" a pokemon and have it gain levels, do the EVS of the monsters i'm fighting transfer via the Exp Share, even if I do not use the Exp Share pokemon at all?

NO, the Pokemon that you want to level up needs to be holding the exp share.

    better explanation.

    i must have explained wrong.

    i have two pokemon.

    one without an exp share
    one with an exp share.

i engage a pidget with gives a speed EV if i remember correctly, and i ONLY use the pokemon _WITHOUT_ the exp share.

that pokemon will gain the speed ev guaranteed, i am asking if the pokemon _WITH_ the exp share will gain the EV as well?

as far as i now the one with the exp share dont get ev points, but if you change in battle both pokemons will get EV points.

Wrong place for this, so moved.

And Pokemon DO gain EVs when using the Exp share. The Pokemon holding the Exp Share counts as being part of the battle, even though it never really took part, so it will gain 1/2 Exp, and full EV points.

If the Pokemon is involved in any way with the battle, it will get full EVs. This includes switching in, Exp. Share, and battling. So... be careful which Pokemon you fight, or you might accidentally get some that you don't want.
