    Who thought that anime was REALLY AWESOME, it sucks that it's still not around anymore ( i have a set of dvd with the first season though) anyone else think alot of the new animes really suck, like that one about the people who turn into wolves (feel free to tell me the name, i cant really recall it at the moment)
     
    I think you mean wolf's rain? Most anime today is good, it is just that EVA was really beyond it's time, and not to mention that only four or five people in the world understand it all.
     
    Well it's designed as a psychological thriller, that's why.
     
    I hated evangelion. sure, it was brilliantly deep. but it was so BORING and TECHNICAL that nobody knew WTF WAS GOING ON. =_=;; it may win in terms of depth, but it was not fun to watch at all. le siiigh.
     
    That was a cool show. Problem is, I only saw the first episode. As for being hard to undertsand, if you write down things that happen (Like notes on a movie.), then you should piece together some things. But that's all I can say because I only saw the first episode! (Stupid Cable networks...)

    Oh trust me...that wouldent work no matter what...All I can even get out of it is that Shinji is some sort of
    spoiler












    False Jesus or something along the lines of that.

    No, actually I think Shinji is more like the Antichrist. It all refers to the EVAs being the Beasts from Revelations, and the final battle between Heaven and Hell. So many people think that Shinji was like Jesus, when he's more like the Antichrist when you think about it. That might explain why the last scene showed him and Asuka in front of a lake of blood; that could've been Hell...

    You also have to remember that Japan was taking many religions into account in this, not just Christianity. They referred to Ragnarok, Revelations and a bunch of others. (i.e. The EVA Series were like the Titans from Greek Mythology)
