4th Gen Evee Species Challenge.

so what exactly do you do in this challenge ill more than likely try and join this challenge prolly by Friday cause im thinking of buying pearl i can start it on there if that would be cool.
btw is there any real start date for this challenge too?
 
you can start whenever you want, and the challenge is to play through the game with only evees- but since i know many people don't want to restart their game the official rule is "Must beat pokemon league with only Evees"
 
Lucky I have a game just for such things. After some family business has died down I will take a crack at it ^^
 
Well, I just finished a LeafGreen/FireRed Monospecies challenge with geodude (finished with a lvl 93 Golem woot) and had a ton of fun.

Would I be able to do this challenge on an emulator or does it have to be with the actual cartridge? I'm not willing to restart my diamond and I don't have pearl yet.

If you bend the rules just a little, I could get 2 eevees in the beginning with a cheat thingy and then just go from there. (without cheating)

What do you think? I wanted to go with Vaporeon and Flareon.
 
When I get my wi-fi installed (and working, i've never really used it), I'll be going with Jolteon and Leafeon

That should be tomorrow sometime.
 
ah i see well i got bored a few nights ago and started over my diamond any way xD lol so actually i think i'll go ahead and start it now if thats okay ill come back to ya with a wee bit more detail soon just at the very start of the game with the basic starter
 
My Wi-Fi is now installed and working as I can tell.

Choosing to go with Jolteon and Leafeon as mentioned in last post if they are not taken.
 
Interresting, I might join. however, I have a question. I want to go with espeon and glaceon. so I understood from a previous post that I get an eevee (to evolve to espeon) and a glaceon. so do you need to train the eevee till it evolves to espeon? and if so, is it allowed to let the eevee equip a sooth bell (or whaever the item is called, the one that raises friendship faster)? and as for the glaceon, is it at lvl.5 when I receive glaceon?

Yes you will get a level 5 Glaceon, and sure about the Sooth bell, I guess I will supply it
 
Um if you do it this way people will have to beat the first 2 gyms with lvl 10 or below eevees since they are recieved in a trade after 2 badges up to lvl 30 obeys you from trade....

That's an excellent point :-\ Umm not sure how I am going to deal with that
 
Cab you transfer just the eggs? If you can that'll solve some problems, however that'll open up new ones as well :S

EDIT: Or we can start after the second badge....

maybe you just need to use your luck to beat the first 2 gyms with eevee's that won't obey you. though the pokemons of the second gym leader are around lvl.20, I had the luck to beat her with my pokemons, where the strongest was lvl.14 (but those did obey me, of course). just get some luck and a lot items, then you'll be fine.

also, you don't have to restart your game, right? you can just go to the first city (that has a pokecenter), get the two eevee's, depoist other pokemons (and items?), and start your adventure right? I seriously don't feel to restart my game...
 
So have we discovered how this challenge will work yet? I'm ready to get started. I just got pokemon pearl and haven't really started playing it yet.

Officially starts tomorrow but people can join at anymore between now and Feb 9th.

Also Official Rules:
-People can pick two Different Eveelutions, and each Eveelution can be used twice.
-Contestants must beat the pokemon league with only Evees and Evvelutions. (This is so people who don't want to restart their DP GAME can join in).
-Breeding for more evee's is allowed but they can still only be the two Eveelutions you've choosen.

It should be more than 2 people per Eeveelution, its too popular. I might join, though.

yeah it's a good point, but if I make there be too many everyone will just use all the same eveelutions and a less popular like.. Flareon (just guessing) won't have anyone to train it, but I will update it to 4 for now at least
