Ever Had To Go Seperate Ways?

I have been in university for a while; leaving behind people from my hometown no longer phases me. I am back in my university's tiny little town again, and I have already said my goodbyes to my high school friends. Don't worry - we'll get together again over the holidays.

But saying goodbye to my university friends was a completely different experience. After essentially living with each other for a year, eating dinner with each other, and sleeping over at each others' dorms - it was hard to say goodbye. Even though summer vacation is a mere three or so months, saying goodbye both to the university and to my friends was a bit emotional.

But the worst was saying goodbye to my exchange student friends. I had such great times with them. I was roommates with an exchange student; I was in love with an exchange student. I made many significant connections with these students - these students who will never come back. It's very likely I'll never see them again. Thailand is so far away, Nigeria may as well be on another planet. So sad.

I said goodbye to a lot of friends when going to college, and sad to say, I haven't really hung out with a lot of them since then, even though we've graduated college. But we hadn't really been close since junior high, so it really wasn't that hard...

Anyway, I still kept a lot of my good friends, even though they went to school far away, and I made a lot of friends in college, so I never really got too lonely.

I still keep in contact with my old friends via facebook, but we don't really hang out much anymore. Our tastes are just too different now.

I had to say goodbye to one of my friends who's moving to San Diego. Knew her since 7th grade. (I'll be in 11th in August)

But I suppose goodbye is never truly goodbye unless you let it be, I just went to a birthday party for a friend I haven't seen since 6th grade so there's always a chance you'll run into people you know ^v^

When i finished primary school i had to say goodbye to a few friends, that's all really. Probably in 2 years I'll have to say goodbye to a few friends, but I'll keep in touch with my best friends.

Er~ Well, I guess it depends on if you want to contuine seeing them afterwards or not. My Bf was a senior in high school, but we still keep in touch and see each other. And I still see some of my friends who also graduated. And I'm going to do the same thing after I graduate with my current friends. I guess its all about point of view. Its sad yes, and saying good bye doesn't help, but I guess your smart and didn't say it. You knever know when your going to see them again.
