Evolution problems!!

    Hi guys,

    For some reason, a lot of Pokémon at the beginning of the national Pokédex (pidgey, caterpillar, etc.) will freeze my emerald rom hack. I have no idea why. But whenever I'll try and have them evolve, when it gets to the evolution screen, the game will just restart itself. Any suggestions as to how I can go about fixing this?
