Evolutions that should have happened??

Some of these have bothered me for a long time. To me they seem like they would have been common sense for Nintendo to make things this way. Now of course some of these would need a little bit of a re-design be it in color scheme of actual design but I think for the most part these work.

Reasoning:
Arbok to Seviper. For this line I think everything would have been perfect just how it is. A name change to go with the theme for the previous two would have been welcome. In the show Jessie gets a Seviper after she had Arbok for so long which originally led me to believe I had only missed the episode where it evolved but alas I was sadly wrong.

Sandslash to Zangoose. This one may not make sense at first but imagine Zangoose with a yellow and brown color scheme. Another reason this would have made sense is the relationship between Seviper and Zangoose. This theme seems to have come from the theme originally created between Arbok and Sandslash. I can't remember exactly where I read it but it is in one of the Pokemon books.

Weepinbell to Carnivine. My maing reasoning behind this one other than physical similarities is the head biting theme with James of Team Rocket.

Shellos or Gastrodon to Lapras. Now with this one I obviously am thinking of the East Sea design but I found the West Sea design first. I think my reasoning on this one is also obvious.

Camerupt to Torkoal. Now I know Camerupt is a camel and Torkoal is a turtle but the volcano theme is common between the two. Had Camerupt and Numel been turtles or Torkoal been a camel this would have been perfect.

Do you agree with my ideas? Are there any other evolutions that you think should have been common sense for Nintendo to make?

Shellos/Gastrodon to Lapras should definitely have been implemented - they're far too similar to be entirely different evolution lines. The same with Seviper and the Ekans line, even the colour scheme is practically the same. The others I'm not so sure about. I'd like to say the Zangoose one would work, just for symmetry with the Seviper evolutionary line, but I think Zangoose is too different to Sandslash. Carnivine looks too different to be part of the Bellsprout evolutionary line but with a slight aesthetic change it could easily fit in. As for the Camerupt and Torkoal similarities, I had the same feeling, they're very similar.

Remember, Trapinch is an Antlion; that whole line makes perfect sense. Remoraid to Octillery was gen 2, the connection was suckers (Remoras attach to sharks or rays like Mantine). If Clamperl and Remoraid were made in the same generation, I would have switched it up, mollusk to mollusk and all. Zangoose, don't see it. Carnivine and Seviper could be alt evos from the first stage. Lapras I can see, Torkoal... just no.

Why do people say Gastrodon and Lapras should be related? Gastrodon is a Slug whereas Lapras is a sea monster. It's like saying Salamanders should be Lizards because they look alike.

Anyway, for the longest time I thought Geodude evolved into Onix. I don't know why; I just did.

Also, I totally agree with you on the Seviper thing. The Sandslash thing... I don't know, I am still holding out for a Sandslash and Cubone evo in Gen V!!

I DID think that Garchomp should have been in the Carvanah/Sharpedo evolutionary line though. And I totally think that Milotic should have been an alternate evolution of Dragonair (with a Dragon typing of course).

As for the rest, it's the same stuff you've heard from the fans forever. Caterpie->Metapod->Venemoth and Venonat->Butterfree.

Lapras.. uhh.. Lockness monster? Can't evolve from a slug.
Ekans -> Arbok / Seviper. Could be. But Seviper looks way out of the "Ekans" style.
Carnivine.. Uhh, I'd rather think of Carnivine as an alternate evo of Cacnea.
Sandshrew -> Sandslash (Uhh.. mouse?) -> Zangoose(Uhh... cat ferret?) ._. Hell no. It's like saying Jerry evolved to Tom. Or in pokemon terms, Pikachu to a persian.

It has nothing to do with the topic. This topic is also not call "Here are my ideas come tell me why I'm wrong." The point of the topic was to see who agreed with me and to see if anyone else thought there were evolution lines that did not make sense. I can take the criticism but please at least be logical with your reply. Again this is POKEMON not the real world. I also never said that the Pokemon would be the same as they currently are. I said with redesigns Nintendo could have made those lines possible. Shellos is a slug and I know that but my point is Nintendo/Gamefreak or whoever could have made it the same typr of creature as Lapras. The same goes for all the other ones. Seriously though when a person creates a topic it helps for those who want to comment to actually read what the topic creator had to say. You know what they say about people who assume things...

Just because two Pokemon happen to be based on similar things or look alike doesn't mean they ought to be part of the same evolution line. There's nothing wrong with the current evolution lines. Things are fine as they are.

Also, since this topic is basically revolving around the notion that Pokemon isn't real, and that they could re-design Pokemon to make these matchups look alike, I would love to see Pidgey evolve into Arceus. Before anyone looks at me skeptically, this is POKEMON, and the real world, so they don't have any coralation to each other, besides, all GF has to do is change the typing and redesign Arceus or pidgey, and they'd fit.

its not really a Juvenile comment, He's simply exposing faulty logic in your last comment.
you were trying to say that no-one could correct you or tell you otherwise, and that Remoraid evolving into Octillery and Pidgey evolving into arceus are different, altough because its the pokemon world, it doesnt hae to make sense.

i think strangely that Dunsparce shouldve evolved into Onix, or be an alt evo into steelix.

I only agree with the carnivine chain and if you switched the top one and put a chain for ekans to seviper! I don't really see the numel line turning into a Torkoal!
