Is there any way to calculate how you can both stats get equal? So how much proteins etc you must add for it to gain extra points when it levels up? Also, when you dont get it right at lvl 20, can you press b and will it evolve again at lvl 21?

Just keep adding Proteins and Calciums onto Tyrogue until the numbers are equal, you don't need a calculator for that. Yes, it will evolve at level 21 too.

I used a combination of an IV calculator and shoddy battle. Get your IVs, plug them into shoddy and adjust the level to 20. Then just mess with the EVs until they come up equal, thats how many EVs you'll need

I caught two Tyrogues (ages ago) and just got them to level 20. One became a Hitmonchan, the other a Hitmontop, so I believe it just depends on the stats they start with (but I assume you can just mess around with their stats to get what you want).

ah, i thought it was more tricky than that to balance out the stats like you want to. anyway, it worked and i only have to see like 40 pokemon. w00t!

I think it's all to do with natures and stats. The nature you get from the Pokemon boosts a certain stat (Adamant - Attack). So if you want to get a hight stat, your best bet is pumping it full of Stat inducing Items (Such as Protien).
