Hey folks, it's the new guy! Now, don't go all jumping down my throat because I'm new or anything. I'm here to ask for some help in a set I'm making called EX: Academy. There's quite the story behind this, so let me explain how this all came to be:
My cousin and I have always been somewhat casual Pokemon fans. We play the games and occasionally break out the old collection of Pokemon cards from a few years back, but we've never really been what you'd call "serious" fanboys.
About a month ago, I approched my cousin with an idea for a story I had. The story was meant to be an RP for the two of us. It was about a Pokemon training academy set up on an island off the coast from Johto. The story follows four trainers who start out at the academy an become friends in the process.
As we began to develop the story, I began to frequently visit more and more Pokemon websites for reference and just for something to fight the boredom. While doing this, I stumbled onto a forum (I think it was serebii.net's) where people posted their fake cards and sets. I knew a faking community existe din the Pokemon fandom, but I never realized how big it truly was. The forum got me thinking about making my own card set based on the characters from the story. I downloaded a few blanks and tools, and began trying to make a few cards. It didn't turn out well. I'm really not much of a graphic artist, and I'm really not good with photoshop at all.
So that's why I'm here. I'm still working on the set, EX: Academy, and I've managed to recruit a couple of my friends to help me. However, none of us have any experienc emaking fake cards, and we'll need the help of some folks who've been around the block a time or two as far as cards go. What we really need more than anything are people who have experience doing card layouts in the EX: Hidden Legends format, and people who can proofread spoilers for grammar and/or brokenness errors. I've pretty much got the art and spoiler writing taken care of, though I wouldn't mind if you want to lend a hand there either.
