Katherine and Alex saw a triad of black-suited men wearing sunglasses approaching the caf?; they conspicuously resembled the Agents from The Matrix, right down to their earpieces. "****, the G-men are already here! Come on, Katie, we've gotta go!" Alex said as he grabbed Katherine's hand and took her into the back of the caf?. Once they were in the back, they had to jostle through other waiters, as well as cooks and other workers; it was crowded, progress was slow, and the government agents were probably right behind them as well. And indeed they were; one of them, an Agent Black, had asked a cashier where Katie and Alex had went. "Where did Mossman take Madigan?!" he bellowed, shoving his Desert Eagle .44 Magnum in the poor woman's face.

"He took her to the back!" she replied, cowering. "Now will you get that gun out of my face?!"

"Sure," Agent Black said as he holstered his sidearm. "Byrd, Kutcher, try to contact Jameson, Thomas, and Jackington. See if they can set up an ambush in the rear."

"I can't get in contact with them! It looks like our signal's being jammed or something like that. Either that or we're getting some bad reception," Agent Byrd said, taking out his earpiece.

"Screw this!" Agent Kutcher cried out, taking out his own Deagle. "Let's just go!"

"Agreed," Byrd said as he drew his sidearm and followed Kutcher into the back. By that time, Katie and Alex had already made out of the caf?; they were currently in a back alley. Alex stopped next to a dumpster in order to catch his breath. "Hey, slow down, Katie! I'm not the one with speed enhancements here!" he said.

"Oh, sorry about that, Alex," Katie said, stopping and going back to meet Alex. "Just how far is it to your sister's place, anyway?"

"Not far," Alex panted. "This alley exits onto Wisteria Avenue. Eliana lives on the corner of Wisteria and Elm."

"Thanks for the directions, Alex. Now, you mind leading me to Wisteria and Elm?"

"Sure, why not?" Alex said, getting back up. "Let's go."

Just then, a gunshot rang out; a .44 Magnum bullet sped by and struck the dumpster, narrowly missing Alex. "Katherine Madigan and Alexander Mossman!" Agent Black called out.

"****," Katie said. "Alex, stay here, behind the dumpster." She handed him Mr. Spender's Desert Eagle and briefcase. "I'll deal with these idiots myself. No need for you to get hurt on my behalf."

I blinked, and resisted drawing my katanas. Well, what did she expect? Me to sit around with my ears closed? Forget that... In a matter of moments, I was inside, and looking around. "Hey david." I commented to the girl on the couch, feeling the mechanical signature I had from the girl earlier before. "I see your implants went over nicely." I added, before walking into another room without an answer, looking for something useable. There had to be something better in a place like this...

"Why that little..." I muttered to myself as I actually made the effort to stand up and follow her into a large room full of odd machines and robots. I pulled out the gun I had recieved earlier, and aimed it just to the left of her head, before pulling the trigger. It would definately surprise her... if not hit her. Now wouldn't that just be a shame?

"I'm Katherine Madigan," Katie said as she took out her dual USPs. "What do you want with me?"

"Isn't it obvious by now, Miss Madigan?" Agent Black said, pointing his Deagle at Katie. "We're here to take you back to Nova Prospekt, dead or alive."

"It should be obvious to you by now that I have no interest in going back to that hellhole," Katie growled. "You'll take me back to Nova Prospekt only when I'm a cold, dead corpse, you son of a *****."

"Is that so, Miss Madigan?" Agent Black sneered. "So be it, then. We'll be taking you back to Nova Prospekt in a body bag."

"I'd like to see you try, *****es!" Katie screeched as she charged towards the three agents, dual USPs blazing. Black went down almost immediately, while Byrd and Kutcher tried to evade the initial shots. Byrd took cover in the café's back doorway, while Kutcher ducked behind another dumpster; once she had taken down Black, Katie sidestepped to hide behind yet another dumpster. She put back her USPs and took out an H&K UMP45 SMG. "Okay, you want a piece of me, boys? Come get some."

I had my eyes on a menacing looking robot, which looked like it was made for anything violent. I began to transmit the signal that would transfer my consciousness into it, when what felt like a superfly hit the back of my head, sending me sprawling on top of a table which held a human shape under a blanket.

I pulled the blanket off of my face, growling as I pulled a single, but larger katana from a sheath. "I've had about enough of your attitude." I practically hissed, as I began advancing on her, the katana held ready, form the look in my eyes, I was ready to do some SERIOUS damage...

"Byrd, Madigan ducked behind that dumpster. You mind checking?" Kutcher said to his comrade.

"No! I don't wanna get killed like Black did! You go!" Byrd snapped.

"I don't wanna get killed either! Look, it's either you or me. One of us has to go down eventually," Kutcher said to Byrd.

"How about the both us of go after her at once?" Byrd suggested, drawing an Ingram MAC-10 machine pistol. "You said that we're gonna die anyway if we go after Madigan. How about we both die?"

"Meh," Kutcher replied as he took out his own MAC-10. "Ready?"

"Ready."

Unfortunately for Byrd and Kutcher, Katie had overheard their entire plan and planned accordingly. She put away her UMP45 and took out a Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun. As she heard Byrd and Kutcher approaching, she pumped the shottie, loading a 12-gauge shell into the chamber; Byrd and Kutcher heard the sound. "You hear that, Kutcher?" Byrd asked his fellow agent.

"Yeah, I heard it."

Byrd and Kutcher were momentarily distracted by their convo, and that was all the time Katie needed to sneak up right in front of them, shottie in hand. "Say hello to my little friend," she said to the two, startling them. This next moment of shock was also all she needed to empty several 12-gauge shells into the two agents. Once they were out of commission for good, Katie put away her SPAS-12 and picked up their dropped Deagles and MAC-10s; she then walked up to Alex's hiding spot. "Come on, Alex, lead me to Eliana's place," she said to him.

"Right then," Alex replied, getting up and walking. Katie followed right behind him.

I nodded as the woman sent us to a living room. And after we were there, I just couldn't sit down. I did not sit, and instead, walked around, admiring things... you know... I was still a fan of technology and science. "does someone know the reaction of sodium, chlorine gas and water? it's a big explosion... a single gram of sodium in a bottle with chlorine gas and a single drop of water can even destroy a big room... a bit bigger that this one... I plan in doing a weapon with that reaction" I mentioned looking around.

I saw then a new girl coming to the room. "Is that... really you... David?" I asked... maybe my new power showed me the real name. I was amazed how technology could make such changes. I suddenly saw Rob, as he called himself earlier, getting in another form.

My first reaction to her approach was to utilize my nanotechnology, but I remembered that I couldn't. Also, I didn't know how to use this magic yet, though I had sensed a mysterious presence inside my body since I woke up. I began to step away from her, my staff raised my black my face, my eyes shut closely. I was afraid, truly afraid. I should have just left my emotions sealed...

I lunged forward without thinking, and in a flash, my katana was at her throat. I blinked, realising that I was *MUCH* faster than before. I smiled then, and with one foot, I knocked both feet out from under her, not relaly thinking about how she'd be as likely to fall towards me as away from me...

"Waaa!" I yelled as I flew face first into her... chest. My face turned a bright red, and I quickly ran back up against the wall. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!!!" I pleaded, figuring she'd be even madder now than before. I realized when I felt a cute on the side of my neck however, that I needed the ability to dodge faster.

I blinked, stunned for a moment, my face going red, beforeI tried to pull her out of my my chest. That's when I realised, I couldn't move! I put all my strength into it, but nothing happened! When she finally pulled herself out, I quickly took several steps back, lowering my katana to a horizontal, defensive position across my stomach. "How did you do that?" I hissed, not quite believing that she had somehow paralized me...

"I... I don't know." I said in reply, my staff now in a striking position in one hand, the gun in my other. I wondered how long one with a sword can last aginst one with a gun. "Dark rain!" I called subconciously, dark clouds filling the room, dark purple rain falling from them. That was, a new trick. However, now I couldn't see her. Nor could she see me.

Kaika sat on the edge of a hard-backed wooden chair, his hands gripping the sides of his seat as he viewed the battle. Biting his lip, the youth stared intently at "Robert" and the newly-transformed David.

As dark clouds formed near the ceiling and released a rain that obscured Kaika's view, the male felt his nervousness escalate. Finally, he cried out, "Stop! We shouldn't be fighting each other!"

Desperate, he released a brief flash of flames from himself--not enough to damage anything, but enough for him to see the silhouttes of the two combatants. Suddenly, the gravitational pull between the two fighters and the ground increased exponentially.

Trembling as his scarlet eyes gazed into the darkness, Kaika murmured, "No more fighting . . . I've had enough for today."

I was looking aorund until the clouds and the rain did not allow me to see. I sighed before my electric vision triggered itself. I saw everything clear again, and saw David and Robert standing like if they were fighting. "why are you fighting?" I asked both of them. I was hoping that they not start to really get into the fight and start killing each other.

"Wah!" I cried as the gravity around me increased, and I fell to my knees, and then fell forward. It was a feeling I never wanted to experience again. The feeling of your organs on the verge of being crushed by gravity itself. I was left on the ground, gasping for air, waiting for Kaika to release the darn trick of his.

I blinked as the gravity increased, causing the katana to fall from my hands, but at least I ept my feet. I turned, very slowly, and looked at the person who cranked up the G's. "She did this to me, I won't keep fighting any more, but I wanted her to know how I felt." I grimaced, trying to get the words out despite the crushing force.

I waited for a while, and then saw Kaika increasing the gravity. He managed to increase the gravity in just the spots where David and Robert were. "hey... stop it now... I'm sure they had enough with the gravity" I told Kaika, standing infront of him. I wonder why people that did not want fights... have to use violence to stop fights... my mood was getting slightly getting into psychology... human minds are so weird I thought like if I was someone better than everyone... but I quickly shook my head and decided not to act like that again.

Max's words seemed to free Kaika from a stunned trance. Nodding slightly, though still trembling, Kaika returned the gravitational energy about David and Robert to as it would normally be.

Appearing to remain somewhat dazed, the youth turned his rose-red eyes toward ground. Forcing himself to relax his hold on the sides of his wooden chair, Kaika quietly stammered, "A-alright . . . " After a pause, he added in a softer tone, "I'm sorry if I hurt you."
