I could probably catch a beneficial-natured pokemon
like a Modest Gastly or something, but that's about it :P
I wanna keep my EVd ones just in case.. If I have any

Right now, I'm planning my team for the gym battle.
Is it okay if it's 2v2? Not as in double battles, but only
two pokemon vs two pokemon? Or maybe 4vs4..
Hmm, I don't know. But can I make it a set-amount of
maximum pokemon?​

Are you saying 2 vs 2 double battle? If so I rather you make it 4 vs 4. Since I was thinking each gym leader should have their own rules of how they consider "style points"

Sure, sign me up as a gym leader or something.

What concerns me is how this 'style points' system works. Explain that and I'll be happy. Also, what do you define as 'no haxing'. If you're referring to Serene Grace + flich-enducing move...that's a really stupid clause. It's a perfectly valid strategy, and with all the steel types around these days, it doesn't have much life anymore, since it's either Togekiss with Air Slash or Dunsparce with Headbutt.

I'm still thinking about the no haxing rule. So for the moment I'm going to have it. I'll make up my mind.

Here is how I described style points to someone on the second page-

Alright so style points is the way gym leaders give off points rating how there opponet was during battle saying they had accomplished style. (maxium points given is 100 for right now)
Why are style points here? Because Milk's original creation for a Looks gym didn't really show it off and with style points its kinda showing off looks in battle.

So with those points for at the moment you go to the donation shop from the member of BZ and get a donated pokemon with however many points that pokemon costs.

Other then that thats all the style points will be used for now. Later on I'm sure style points will have more to do with this gym.

By 7:17 answering my question, I believe that gives me the ability
to answer yours. His reply to my question was that you could make
your own style-point marks, therefore, you make your own "rubric".
I think this is a good idea, since themes may interfere with this..
7:17, you should make a standard set of objectives to shoot for,
leaving 4-5 reserved for your own custom marks...

ie: a standard, universal mark would be Shiny Pokemon,
unless someone decides to open up a "Shiny Pokemon Only"
Gym, whereas most of the challengers will be speculated for
hacking, and thus, I highly doubt one will ever be created.
Another standard mark would be "No Stale Moves" where
you can't repeat moves 3-4 times in a row or something,
unless the gym is a Choice item (Choice Band/Choice Scarf)
gym. And then, four/five other rules you can make up,
specific to your theme. If one were to have a
Little Cup-themed gym, or Uber Gym, the challenger
should get marks for NFE pokemon (Little Cup) or
having a team full of Uber-tier pokemon (Uber Gym).

Anyway, that's my perception and interpretation of how the
"Rubric" would flow in this gym... I'd love to assist you
in this gym's rules and stuff, seeing as I already aided in
some suggestion :P

Also, I have my team set up, and I'm planning for it to be

"Old School". The rules are very strict:

- No pokemon above 2nd gen (PkMn from Kanto and Johto only)

I've got stuff I could donate, what interests you? I can get any pokemon you can breed shiny if you like, but I'll use the lowest seed I get, so don't expect good natures all the time. :P (I'm still working on understanding it, but I get the basic idea.)

pokemon and UU Tier and below, right? I'll try to brew up
a standard "Rubric" with 4-5 reserved areas specifically
for the Gym Leader's theme, as well as try to make a badge.

Those should be universal rules to a gym like this, where the
point is showing off sick strategies and double-battle combinations,
as opposed to spreading out the typing and going for strategy,
clinging onto pokemon in the OU Tier and above. By the way,
I think the rubric should only be awarded if challenger beats
the Leader (unless Leader wants to rate the challenger personally)
as opposed to marking every challenger, whether they win or lose.
Anyway, I'll explain how these are universal.

Shiny Pokemon: Shinies are purely aesthetic and therefore
fits perfectly into the ELG. It's universal because Shinies are
pretty rare, and there most likely won't be "Shiny-Only gym"

NU/NFE Pokemon: Most people cling on to OU pokemon.
Having NU/NFE pokemon in your team is very original, let alone
winning against the gym leader with them. NU/NFEs basically
have rare appearances since they're never used (of course),
so standing out from the OU tier deserves a point.

At Least 2 Pkmn of Same Type: Let's face it. In Double-Battles,
Strategies often revolve on typing. Usually, having the same typing
is bound to bring out the best of that type and show some serious
strategy with abilities and typing. Also, it's more difficult to win with
just one type as they share common weaknesses, so winning against
a gym leader with pokemon of the same typing deserves a point.

These rules should be universal for any gym, unless they contradict these
points (ie: NU/NFE Pokemon Only Gym. All pokemon will obviously be NU/NFE
so there's no reason to give out a point for having NU/NFE pokemon). If
that's the case, the gym leader may replace those rules with their own rules
within reasonable purpose. Also, there are still 4-5 other customizable slots,

Hey! you wouldn't even have known that it was Fantina's badge
unless I told you. Let's be honest: If you matched the badge up
with Fantina's, only then will you recognize that the circles
are from her badge..

Either way, I'm going to have to "copy" DP's badges due to the fact
that I can only sprite edit and not sprite from scratch. Be
appreciative that I made two animations of the badge on my first
attempt, buddy T-T'

Well it wasn't technically 60% of the
original image. It was actually...
90% of 90& of 90% of 90% of the image.

But yeah, I finished it.
Also, when you give me ideas
for badges, I won't be able to
tell EXACTLY what you're thinking.
Therefore, I will make about 2-3
basic images of a sprite. It won't
be perfect and perfectly shaded
and equal, but It's just there to let you
vote on the badge closest to your idea.

Novelty Pokemon - 50pts
2OST Pokemon - 25pts
(Custom Rule) - 75pts
(Custom Rule) - 100pts

(Custom Rule) - 200pts

I'll explain why:
Shiny - Rare to come across, highest of standard.
Novelty - They could easily appear in battle, then die. A bit lower pts than Shiny.
2OST Pokemon - This should be very common in the ELG, so it's the lowest.
The four custom rules - 75pts is the lowest due to the fact that the rules are
specifically tailored for that gym's theme. Therefore, it takes a bit more effort
to follow these rules, thus the fair range of 75-200pts. Of course, the harder rules
will be worth higher pts. Also, I recommend that you should NOT include things like
"Half points". For example (the last custom rule, 200pts), If the rule was
"ONLY UU Tier Pokemon" and the challenger brings in 5 UU Tier Pokemon, yet
1 is OU, you cannot say "Oh, majority of your team was UU so I'll give you points,
but not all. 175 pts for you!" It would screw up the whole system and be
harder to keep track of how many points each person has.

Anyway, The total of any gym leader match should be 700pts in total.
I think that's a fairly nice and generous amount to offer, in accordance
w/ the shop. Also, I think there should be additional standard rules
and more custom rules for Elite Fours and whatnot, purely because
they are of higher rank and the evaluation board must be more strict
and more difficult to obtain points. of course, this means the maximum
amount of points you can win from the elite fours will be greater compared
to winning against a Gym Leader...

EDIT: Since I'm making the badges and no one else is replying, I might as well
give names to the badge, with reason of course. My gym, the Old School gym,
has the badge called the Hydro Badge. "Old School" Badge doesn't really explain
the colours on the badge, so I named it Hydro, for obivous reasons. Hydro could
represent electricity AND water.. And this badge:

I believe it should be called the Lunar Feather badge, for obvious reasons.
Why did I choose the colours? Purple because Bz's gym is psychic and white
because it is also normal. Why the Togekiss feather? You have to fight him to
find out. The Lunar Feather badge caused me a lot of problems, but all in all,
I think it turned out even better than mine.
