    Global Defense Initiative

Mainly at the time of Tiberian Sun, where they had the freaking Mammoth MK II giant walker that just demolished bases on it's own and basically almost every unit was a walker.

    Demacia from League of Legends.

Demacia is the kingdom in Runaterra (The setting of League) which houses the values of justice, honor, and duty, and its respective champions embody those values quite explicitly well. Demacia is a kingdom knwon for having a strong and lawful society with a prestigious military history that has defended the kingdom from numerous attacks from raiders, bandits, expansionist factions, and its rival kingdom in Noxus. However, this has also made Demacia a rather close minded, defensive, and insular society that is slow in embracing new ideas, in fear that the values and traditions that the kingdom/faction has blessed for so long may be lost in the seas of change.

Also, my biased love for Demacia is also strengthed with the fact that many of my favorite champions are from said faction. Garen, Xin Zhao (wink wink), Lux (winky face), Jarvan IV, Fiora, Vayne, Quinn (& Valor), Galio (yep...) and even Vayne are all from Demacia.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

if I were to make a fanmade faction-based first person action RPG Shooter in the vein of Fallout were i would play a lone wanderer who cheats death and suddenly finds himself in a world of conflict, i would definitely include the factions Demacia (League), New California Republic (Fallout 2 & New Vegas), Global Defense Initiative (Command and Conquer - OG Timeline), Atlas Corporation (Advanced Warfare), The Minutemen (Fallout 4), Caesar's Legion (New Vegas), Cerberus (Mass Effect), Brotherhood of Steel (Fallout franchise), Imperium of Man (Warhammer 40k), the Settlement Defense Front (Infinite Warfare) and the Greater Korean Republic (Homefront) or to avoid any copyright strikes from every IP owner, basically factions that resemble these factions I've mentioned.

then for factions that are always hostile to the player, the likes of the Gunners (Fallout 4 - even though they don't make that much sense compared to the Raiders, they are a rather badass hostile faction), Vipers, Scorpios, Super Mutants, OpFor remnants, Soviet Ultranationalists, and whatnot.

I'd give more to EVERYONE that I've listed after Demacia but my browser might crash.

the best part, everyone has a faction to root for such as Demacia, NCR, The Minutemuen, GDI, aka the "Pretty good guy" factions or they have the likes of Atlas Corporation, Caesar's Legion, Settlement Defense Front, and the GKR aka the "Not so nice but its good to be bad" factions. Or you have the Brotherhood of Steel and the Imperium of Man factions aka the "AD VICTORIAM!! VICTORY FOR ONLY US!!!" factions.

ok i think i said too much.

    The Dark Brotherhood
Yess, came here to post this too. I love the Dark Brotherhood - their lore and history is so interesting. It was the first time I really felt wrapped up in being the "bad guy" - I always liked playing the hero but the DB really made me embrace a darker role in this cult-like organization and I really liked learning about their culture and the tenets they live by.

It was both saddening and fascinating to see the state it was in in Skyrim. Really cool to see what the Brotherhood meant to different people even within the same clan, and even though it was a small group they managed to put in some really interesting characters.

The Brotherhood of Steel - Fallout franchise
Aesthetically speaking, the BoS has got to be my favorite faction in the Fallout franchise and one of my favorite factions of all time. They have the weapons, the technology, the power armors, the equality of sexes, and the really interesting themes behind them. The Brotherhood of Steel's main perk is their desire for the acquisition of pre-war technology so that they can use it to uplift the hopes of mankind.

What i love about the BoS are the values that they uphold, which is easily found in their insignia -> The gears represent their engineering knowledge, the sword represents their willingness to defend themselves from people who oppose them, the wings representing their hopes of uplifting humanity through their acquisition and engineering of technology, and the circle representing their unity as a brotherhood.

While the BoS has appeared in many games in the franchise, I can definitely say that in terms of aesthetics, the Fallout 4 BoS chapter has got to be the best representation of the Brotherhood by far. The Fallout 4 BoS Chapter appears as a rather mighty military force, complete with vertibirds and a large amount of Power Armored troops. The Power armor wearing BoS Units in the game (Brotherhood Paladins) are also some of the most dangerous human units in their respecive game because of how they take advantage of the Power Armor mechanics in FO4, along with their rather devastating Gatling Lasers.

I mean seriously, its was just right that the Brotherhood in-game gets to be the "overpowered" units in a Fallout game. It really feels good compared to how inferior Brotherhood Paladins were in New Vegas compared to the hilariously rigged and jacked NCR Veteran Rangers (obvious in-game mascots of FONV). No wonder a Brotherhood Paladin is the guy appearing in the boxart of FO4 this time around ;).
