In my middle school. People used to wear pamjas pants as real pants and it was really popular. But it died. Did anyone had that?.
Some people do that in my Japanese class. It's because it's school on Saturday and they can't be bothered to putting any effort into getting dressed. I'd wear pajama pants there too, but my mom wouldn't let me. XD;;

Anyway... I remember being obsessed with the Spice Girls just because everyone else was. o_O I was really late on catching on to the Backstreet Boys, though, so I got their last "decent" CD. (I think.. Millenium? That was back when everyone still knew who they were. ;p) Mm... I was obsessed with Pok?mon, and still am, rather evidently. I also really liked Sailor Moon, Digimon, and Dragonball Z, too. I liked Yuugiou, but not because everyone else did; no one did in my school (at least not in my grade... there were two of us in all the intermediate students who watched it. T_T;) Now I don't latch on to fads anymore. I could care less. o_O; Like, I know nothing about what's "in." Nothing. XD; I just... do my own thing. If there's something I like or find interesting, I'll like it!

oO; That would explain my more recent obsession with a movie that came out years ago and is meant for kids. (<3 teh Nightmare Before Christmas!)

I like what I like and that is all I care about XD
I agree. People just do it to just fit in society and people treat them different because of it if they don't do it. I am not into fads either.

I don't usually get into "fads" that everyone else does... unless of course I really do like what it is about. ^^;

I remember the pokemon fad when I was in 6th grade. o_o; It got so bad they banned it from school...

Tamagotchis and Beanie Babies were big ones when I was in the 4th grade too. I have hundreds of Beanie Babies in my room. They are cute though. ^^

Pajama pants are so comfy though! <3 I only wear 'em to school for exams or pajama day though...

Erica- I recently, well last year, got obsessed with that movie too. ^^ But it's become a fad now as well. ><

@__@ Yeah, apparently there was a phase a few people in my art class went through last year where they really liked the movie. o_O I don't consider it as following the fad with me, though, since I'm so late on it. xD;;

And omg, I remember tamagotchis and whatnot. :D I never liked beanie babies so I think I only had about 3. But I loved the virtual pets. <3 I still have my Pikachu one and I wear it everyday~

O__O Does anyone remember Furbies? XD XD Omg, I just remembered how everyone used to have one, rofl. I think I had a white one and when we were moving from Halifax to Toronto, the mover who was packing my stuff from my room accidentally dropped my Furby and it woke up and started spazzing or something. It scared him so much. XD XD Aah... good times. *wonders where that is...*

Ever since Napoleon Dynamite came out on DVD people have been obsessed with it. It's annoying.

So is being a jerk. Being a jerk is kinda catching on to.

I knew someone would mention Furbies. >< I was avoiding that topic... those things are evil! We have three in my house... they all sit on the fireplace too this day since we're afraid to attempt to pick them up since they'll awake from their slumber and start spazzing. o_o; My sister's sounded like it was gonna explode one day... it was quite interesting! I wish it did explode though! XD

OMG! Pogs! Anyone remember those things? O_o I had quite a few of them...

It seems like everywhere I turn someone is wearing a Nightmare Before Christmas sweatshirt or has something that has to do with it. I didn't start liking it because it was a fad either... I hadn't seen the movie and I had always wanted to. So I finally got my dad to get it for me, and I loved it! I love the bloody ducky! <3

OMFG,I rebember those things. Furbies. I always though they had computer chips in their brain. I rebember another a fad of Harry Potter. That is still popular now though.

Yes, the bloody duck is the greatest. <3 My brother had a friend over yesterday and I was watching it for the first time in a while (since I rented it a few months ago when I watched it the first time; I bought it the other day and watched it again last night). Anyway, I had to pause it on the screen where it shows the duck to do something and his friend walks in and was all like, "what is she watching?" I think I scared him. :D I like the songs from it~ *loves the soundtrack* <3

Heh, I remember pogs. o_O I was obsessed with them when I was about 5 or 6 years old. Then they came back when I was about 8, but that was also when Pok?mon was big, so I latched onto Pok?mon instead of pogs. Good thing, too, or else I might be sitting typing this same message at a pogs forum. :<

The Napoleon Dynamite fad was huge at my school. Everyone was repeating the words.
Don't remind me about that one. -_-;; Also people coming to school dressed as though a) they're wearing a giant's clothes 3x too big for them and/or b) in mismatched clothes, like polka dots with stripes. -_-;;

This brings back memories. o.O

The 1st real Fad I got into was PKMN. Elementary sch00l was being dominated by PKMN games and cards. I remember the 1st cards I got was a Growlithe, some enerygy card, a Bulbasaur, Voltorb, and Pikachu. I was extremely happy and I always stared at the cards from time to time.(and also had my mom purchase a lot of cards for me) Used to be in the playgrounds battling and playing the gameboy games. Eventually, it was banned because so many people faught over cards and stole them.

Then when I hit Middle Sch00l, here comes YGO. It wasn't as appealing to me as PKMN cards were but I still enjoyed it.(only because YGO was my 2nd experience with cards) Started bringing my cards to sch00l everyday until one time someone stole a whole stack of cards from me in my locker. (did I mention we had ''no'' locks?) I was so pissed.. I remember slamming my fist against the lockers in rage and threatened everyone until I got my cards back. (well, everyone I knew who had a grudge on me) Eventually, I get my P.E teacher to bring in the cops for an investigation and I get them back. Not t00 long later, they banned the cards and yet I still toke them to sch00l. (until I finally got them confiscated by a teacher.. I got them back at the end of the day though)

Those were the biggest Fads in the past few years, all of that has died now in Highsch00l.

You are the same age as me. I had the same things in my school and a little more. A big fad in my middle school was PS2 when it came out.

Yea, PS2 was a big hit. (I forgot that one) I remember how people used to write down all their games they had for PS2 and started trading/borrowing games from other friends. It actually turned out pretty g00d cause no one were fighting over games and such. Though, it was a distraction in class because of all the discussions.

Another fad...guys wearing pink.

Ha, very true. I remember how many of us guys dised pink sooo much at how ''weird'' (if you know what I mean) it made us l00k. Then, a while back when they saw some famous actors and such rocking the pink, they decided t00 do it themselves (contradiction? o.o). So yea, that's how it begin.
