Planning Each Day's Challenge

Each day of the Get-Together, I want to have a certain theme of what people can draw (this idea is not confirmed yet), however, I would love to have some ideas for the event.

Having a theme for each day is going to be kind of tough, because I want people to have time to draw their art.

I would have somewhat of a challenge, and I would like to have a banner as a prize for the winners (1st-3rd) to post on their signature.

Any ideas or yours you'd like to post, are welcome here!!

If you'd like to be a judge, please PM me (first come first serve, unless otherwise noted)

Catagories as followed:
Day 1: Black and White Extravaganza (Draw something from Black and White, or your own interpretation)
Day 2: ???? (Maybe your favorite anime/manga thing ???) Not Yet Confirmed
Day 3: ????
Day 4: ???? I'm thinking Misc, because its the last day, and we'll have to deal with last chance enterings

How the week will go
Day 1/2: Enter Your drawing (comfirming for TwilightBlade)
Day 3: Voting and Judging
Day 4: Winners Announced and Prizes Awarded

This is just an outline, any changes will be made if nescessary (the confirmed things are for sure)

I'm not going to be here for Friday, but someone will be on my account that day to make sure everything runs smoothly
I'm not going to be here on Saturday, so Faline will host

This starts on the 13th, so we have a lot to do. I am fairly good at designing CSS opening posts.

Prizes should be emblems; ideas on what the image should be?
1st place - epic crayons !!
2nd place - idk
3rd place - I don't usually award 3rd place (depends on entries)

My idea is to have the actual grand Fan Art Contest with judging, voting, and all, as well as your 4 daily themes going on. Their may be voting for the daily fanart themes, but I think that is too chaotic. Instead, simply those who participate in the daily themes can receive something like the Most Enthusiastic About Art Emblem. So we encourage others just draw, even if it isn't perfect and touched up in Photoshop. It is a get together, not everyone should be playing to win!~

General themes: Video game or anime characters, cartoon characters, animals, robots, aliens, fan characters, humans, fantasy creatures, scenery, FRUIT :(

Finding judges in 1-2 days may be difficult; alternatively, we can just have the contestants and spectators to PM their votes to a host for the final tally.

Too much art? Nah.

Of course, we can work on rules like no inappropriate, offensive, pornographic, sexually explicit, unlawful or plagiarized/stolen art.

I am going to help with the emblem designing. As well as with the themes. I can also help with the rules by adding more concrete and specific ones if both of you don't mind? :P

2. All entries must be made during PC's 2010 Get-Together Event. No previous art.
3. Online copies only; no hard copies. Upload your entry onto Photobucket, TinyPic, or DeviantArt.
4. If you host your entry on DeviantArt, you must prove ownership by typing in the comments that your entry is for this particular contest.
5. Please enter high quality entries, preferably in .PNG format.
6. All forms of art are allowed. Be creative!
7. No more than one entry per person per theme.
8. You may NOT ENTER fan art that is:

• Stolen, plagiarized, or created by someone else
• Inappropriate, profane, or offensive
• Sexually explicit or pornographic
• Excessively violent or bloody

The banners are cool, but optional? I know a couple of members are conscious about their forum theme and whatnot.
