I'm writing a Lucario fanfiction and so far, I've posted three chapters on another website. I didn't know it was against the rules to post links to other websites, regarding fanfictions.

I was contacted about this and was told to upload it here, but the problem is that the format came out wrong. All the quotations and paragraphs were squashed. :paranoid:

Could I upload it as an attachment? Or at least get help with the format problems?

What are you using to write your fics (which program? Word, WordPerfect, MicrosoftWord?) and how are you uploading them here? If you're using any of the above programs, you should just be able to copy/paste. If you're using the other forum/board/whatever, then it may be an issue regarding the actual format transfer.

VBulletin utilizes a formatting system called BBCode. It uses tags similar to html such as for bold, for italics, and for underline. You can use the Advanced Editor which is a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editor and will allow you to modify the layout to your specifications. Do you happen to have an example? I'd be glad to format it for you and PM it back to you.

I'm using OpenOffice. I tried copying and pasting and everything was scrunched up. I didn't want to upload attachments for fear of suspicion of spam. Also the program I'm using might not be compatible with everyones' computers.

If you want, upload it somewhere and send me the link and I'll format it for you or at least format a portion of it so you'll see how to format the rest. Copy/Pasting from any program into a reply box isn't going to retain formatting unfortunately.

I know this works for MS Word, so it should work for OO (Open Office) when your typing the story, add an extra space between each paragraph. Since your already done, just go back and add the extra space.

Works for me, so let me know if it works for you.
