Ooo! Ive been tryign to think of the best comeback ever for this! I wanted to be so good that if I even thought of it, my head woudl explode! I thought of this, but my head didnt explode :( Ill just say this response

*clears throat* Hem, hem. Yes, we will remmeber who won the Best Comedy Author, HOWEVER, we will also remmeber how some newbie managed to come up with a good enough fic in only six months to be able to win THREE awards, winning more awards than one of the most famous comedy authors to ever write fanfiction.

I say, if you really need to write a story about it, base it very LOOSELY on the problem that you had with that person, taking only the essence of the situation and implanting it in a story that could not be easily discerned as a real-life happening. Hopefully today was a changing day in your life!

I agree with you Bill, but writing can be a good, healthy way to vent your feelings. Whenever I get in a fight with my Mom, rather than choosing to retaliate and get in trouble, I got upstairs and work on my fic about the crazy Sandslash that goes around killing everything in site :)

The problem of giving a Pokemon evolution the restriction of time is that it will look like a part of the life cycle then. Can a kid not grow into a young adult (in the physical sense) within 20 years just because the kid doesn't want to? If such a thing is true, then the beauty industry would have died many thousands of years ago.

But the thing is, pokemon are NOT humans they are pokemon. They have powers that humans could never come close to. They can mystically produce ever lasting amounts of flames and water and do all sorts of crazy things. Im betting that they can also alter their bodies metabolism/hormone production and thats how they can choose not to evolve. Maybe when you press B in the games the dude kicks the pokemon in the brain or somethign and everstones slow down the bodies internal clock. Man, I play too many video games.
 
Hallo peoples. I am new to this forum but as most of you from serebii know I'm not new to this whole business. I have come to prove that by say that I have a new fic that will be posted on both forums along with Pokemon elite 2000. I am also revising my first fic, the Sevii Island Adventures.

Who can argue against "mystical powers?" >>;

*recalls episode about Blaine*

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt attack on the horn!" *Rhydon gets fried because its horn acts as a lightning rod and is the only part of its body that conducts electricity*

*recalls his gameboy game*

2vs2 battle
"Pikachu uses Thunderbolt (on Starmie)!"
*Rhydon draws the electric attack in with Lightning rod*
"It doesn't affect Rhydon..."

o.o; what can you say... just label anything "mystical powers" and you can get by any loopholes in logic with Pokemon
 
As far as the Pikachu thing goes: I just came to think of situations like that as writers overpowering certain said monsters and making them go beyond their usual "battle limits" that the game mechanics go by as the old liner that game and anime are different things. Yes, That was the Kanto arc and the ideas of Pokemon special ablities never existed at that point but a lightning rod is a device made of conductive metals materials to that are made to attact (in Pokemon's case) electric charges and netrualize them with the ground so considering that Rhydon is Ground/Rock hybrid whose weight firmly plants himself to the ground Pikachu should've made no damage period...

I respect and follow the ideals that Pokemon are creatures that can manipulate the elements and all but as far as matters like that are concerned I just say its the "magic" of the writers god moding the main characters Pokemon allies just for a cheap plot device and the "Oh my gosh [insert very popular Pokemon] is so cool/unbeatable" bit.

As far as the metapod thing goes, I didn't watch after the first season of the show because the stupid began to hurt.

I'm getting opinions both ways, though admitedly if he can't move I've painted myself into a nice plot corner.

So what Bugsy claims is that if you seriously train the metapod it's like any other pokemon? That's what I always thought-- a metapod with tackle is helpful during the early game.

As far as time goes, I'm inclined to it all varies. I'm a big fan of butterfree, and I've had etapod evolve at level 8, some at 10. I think it's some combination of both. And, of course, you can always hault an evolution... apparently.

GameFreak and 4Kids are collectively on something (I really don't want to know what) so I suppose it's all open to interpretation.

hate for the "green forum" exists only from one mod, who is rather powerless anywhere outside of closing threads in this part of PC XD
