Most romance usually either puts me to sick or makes me feel vaguely ill. Shipping is yuck. Canon characters are yuck (if they're not OOC, and then you have other problems).

I know... I'm bad. To explain that, I had my ideas before show canon backed it up. I can just be thankful that it did, so I can argue down ONG DATS NOT RITE!!! reviews.

What exactly IS 'shipping', by the way? I keep hearing that term. Is it a short of 'worshipping'?

It's who you think love each other. Like the provebial "Ash & Misty" shipping, or perhaps a bit of "Brock & Nurse Joy" to compliment the fact that "Ash & Gary" love each other so much XD

It's all rather silly XD
 
Ahh... o_o *blinks* Guess that means I won't be doing a lot of 'shipping' in my stories. Romance bores me.

I could never write a decent romance. Although I did work on a nice murder/horror/romance story with a friend.

*cackles* I'm an avid anti-shipper, and boy, am I incorporating that... *evil grin*

There is a bit of romance in The Quest for the Legends if you'd call it that, but it's very... unusual. No kids-with-crushes in my stuff, thank you very much. >=)
 
*giggles* I ship when I feel like it. Sometimes I'll just drop a hint into a story, sometimes I'll focus a part around a ship. It's mostly Advanceshipping, since Advanceshipping pwnz XD. Mostly I write omg-i-am-so-emo fics that don't need shipping though XD
 
Well...anti-shipping is a kind of shipping...so you're a shipper =0 I won't debate about that though XD

I need to write more fics before I can definitevly say that I won't incorporate them.
 
Um...sorry to bother everyone, but I was wondering if someone could take another look at my fic. I found the original and I am lookin for opinions. Also Frostweaver-sama sorry for my rudeness towards your critque. I will admit that it was very rushed because I had to leave. But I have edited it and I hope you could take a look at it and tell me if there are any improvements I can make ^_^
 
Romance? Ahh the overdone topic of FF.net that made me dispise it so...

Well, personally, I got no probs with romance.

Not too into shippings of any calibur really... But I consider romance apart of life. Um, wait that didn't sound right... I mean I think things like harboring a stronger than normal feelings for something/someone is natural to have for a person (their "treaure" or "cherished one") esp. for character growth. I just treat and see such interaction as things of a one's said development
 
I just struck up conversation at fanficrants on LJ about this, but my real problem with romance is how people ditch charaterization for ONGSEX!!!11eleven (sorry if the younger are offended o.o;;}. Seriously, I want to read about relationship building, not the makeout-you-wish-you-had.

You know what I really hate? How people worry about "younger audiences" and stuff. For Christ's sake, this is the mother ****in' internet. Who hasn't been linked (accidental or otherwise) to a porn site depicting acts of oral sex on the front page? Even if someone didn't see a porn site, there are trillions of other places, even simple Pokemon sites, that feature foul-mouthed webmasters who make mention to mature innuendo on several occasions. Basically, in today's society there shouldn't be a being left alive who hasn't heard the word "sex" and can understand what it means. Hell, a kindergartener could probably guess what word I just bleeped out earlier (which, by the way, was only done under this forum's guidelines.... if this place were more lenient on cursing, I'd have very well left it as is). There's just no point in "protecting a child's innocence", as some like to call it, because, if they haven't been exposed to it already (or the parent is unaware that they were exposed to it), they're guaranteed to sooner or later (more than likely sooner). It's simple reality, and learning more about it is how we all mature through life.
 
You'd be surprised how easily people become offended. I think it's eprfectly appropriate to warn of lemonlime; some younger kids are sheletered. (And especially in a pokemon board, where kids can be as young as 7 or 8; it's truly not a good thing to put in their heads).

Maybe we should stop taking out cues from hollywood... something else I've said many times before. That's another reality we shouldn't be paying serious attention to.

I think that's awful. I would never, ever want my 6-year-old brother talking about sex. It's his childhood, let him enjoy it. He has decades to hear about the birds and the bees. I wouldn't let any child above ten go without knowing the facts of life, but younger than that is ridiculous. Let children be children, blissful and unaware. We have less teen pregnacies and prostitutes that way.

Sure, we all have to be exposed sooner or later... but we all have to die sooner or later as well. Last I checked, this wasn't the cue for 'commit suicide'.
 
You know what I hate? People who think that the young kids of the world deserve to be subjected to the harsh reality of a world shaped by hypocrites and lawlessness.

Yes, I've had teh accidental pr0n links, and yes, I'm sure that kids now all heard sex. That doesn't mean it needs to be shoved in there face.

In a world that has forgotten about staying virgin until marriage, that fact is all to clear. So I'm not sure what you're pushing at...but...there's absolutely NO reason to be pushing things that shouldn't be pushed. Swearing included.

It makes me sad to think about my little cousin swearing when he was 6. Honestly, it just makes people look uneducated and lacking the brains to say something intelligent.

That's what I hate.
