Rated [R] for Killing and Violence-Note, I will start this RP the earliest on SUNDAY 6/18/06, or when all 6 Masters get their sign-ups in!!!
---------------------------------
There is no need for prior knowledge of Fate/Stay Night to join this RP. All is explained right here (Which is why it's ridiculously lengthy.) Spoilers may be in the text ahead. You are warned. (Though I personally don't see any major ones)
The setting is Fuyuki City, Japan.
In a world where magic is now known by only a select few, great wars are fought secretly behind the cover of darkness. Some might envy the gifted, after all, who would not plunge into the study of black arts? But for the seven beings destined to the path of destruction, it is no longer about a road of solitude, but about an alliance capable of great feats. This is the story of seven masters, ranging from the kind-hearted type to the bloodthirsty type of magicians. Pending on each individual's personality, characteristics, as well as past and present, they will be assigned a single spirit. These spirits, also known as servants, are past fallen warriors that have breached the barrier of time and taken physical form in order to aid their master on the quest to achieving the ultimate goal, the Holy Grail.
This, 'Holy Grail' has the ability to grant a single wish, and is also the mastermind behind the war. It chooses the seven masters itself, and these masters cannot choose whether they wish to participate or not. It is by force that they are sent into this war. The servants are summoned from a magic circle, and whether they remember their past identities is based upon whether the master has made a complete summon.
The war has begun yet again, 6 decades after the fifth war, and now, it is time to grasp your role as a master, and call upon your servant!
But alas, this war is like a game. There are rules that must be abided by, or your servant will become useless for 24 hours, leaving you a simple pawn in a game. The way to reach the Holy Grail? Why, the same way you win a war. Defeat your opponents, or in other words, the other Masters, and their servants. The easiest way to defeat the all-powerful servants, is by killing their Masters. A servant cannot exist, or take form without their Master still alive.
Can you win this war, and claim the Holy Grail for your own, so that it should not fall into hands that might misuse it, or cause chaos in the world with the single wish granted? Or, can you win this war, and be the one that wishes for the destruction and chaos?
Classes
======
Archer~ The archer is literally a unit/soldier using a long or short rage arc as weapon. The archer must have a good sight, precision and sense of distances as main features. This class could be considered the Ranger in most RPG games. -xoxkris-
Assassin~ The assassin is generally someone who kills someone else for mean reasons and in a very brutal way. Is otherwise self-explanatory ~Ozy~
Avenger~ Avenger is a weak servant who can only use knives as weapons and who has the ability to copy people's appearance and emotions. They are bent upon avenging a soul from the past, as their name may reveal, and have extreme endurance. -.::Tempest::.-
Berserker~ The berserker is most commonly known as someone who's taken by rage and who can't control himself anymore in that particular status. It's also said that people can fall into berserk if they have a strong spiritual factor and they can get into the control of the fury spirits. These beings can be easily controlled if you have a good tap for Mana, and powerful Magic skills. If not, then good luck trying to keep all three Reiju.
Caster~ The caster is a mage, wizard who's able to attack with magic spells or create magical creatures to use in battles (like golems and so on) -Nagoyaka Aikouka-
Lancer~ Soldier who uses a lance as main weapon (also on horse): Lancers should be precise and especially skilled in long rage combats as well in close one.
Rider~ Riders can be associated to gladiators, especially because of their ability to fight on two-wheeled chariots. They are very fast and agile. -Bell-
Saber~ Saber is the classic knight/paladin wielding swords and wearing traditional armors. Skilled in close combats they're not that agile and quick but they rely on power and precision. It's said they're the most powerful servants, but it is against their will to eat human souls. -Chibi-chan-
Extra Notes on Servants/Masters-
-Servants run on 'Mana' power, which is like their fuel. Mana comes from human souls, so if a servant eats a human soul, then their Mana is replenished, but only by so much. Mana can also be given to the servant by sacrificing part of the Master's magic power.
-Servants have their own 'Noble Phantasms', which are skills/magic powers or abilities proper to a servant. The Noble Phantasm is something the servant's carry from his/her past and it's strictly linked to his/her personal history and experiences. That's why a Noble Phantasm is unique for each servant and there can't be two heroic spirits with the same noble phantasm.
These skills are more powerful than normal combat stances, still servants try to hide them or used them only in emergencies in order to keep their identity secret.
-On a Master's arm, a 'Reiju' will appear, and it will have three symbols. You can use these symbols to call upon your servant when seperated, or to make your servant do something they personally are not willing to do. An example is a Saber Servant eating a human soul for Mana, since it is against their will to eat innocent human souls. Be warned though, Reiju can only be used three times, and once used up, your servant is no longer bound to your word, and can roam freely.
-Depending on the level of your magic skills, you can bring back a person who has been dead for less then five minutes, with special 'jewels'. Though, it is impossible to bring back a fallen servant.
Rules of the RP
-----------------------
1)Use common sense, and, it doesn't matter if you get confused with what's going on. Just ask me and I'll gladly explain. This isn't going to be entirely the same as the anime/manga/game, so you can add your own little twists, as long as they're not too crazy.
2)Follow basic Role-playing forum rules, which should cover the next 10 rules. ^_^
