The Regi trio has been pretty mediocre to me. I dislike Regirock, Registeel isn't that interestin and Regice is the only one which slightly appeals to me (mainly because of it's colour. XD)
The Lake trio is pretty mediocre to. I mean, I dont like Uxie, Azelf is okay, but I guess Meprit is cute. :3
I guess the weather and dragon trio are quite cool. :S

I'm torn between the Bird and Beast trio. I mean, I Iove Articuno and Suicune! :D Though I don't really care for Zapdos, Entei and Raikou, so I guess I prefer the Birds. :) Yay, nostalgia! XD

Conceptually, the weather trio is the best for the references to the RL feud between the Behemoth and the Leviathan found in Hebrew mythology

For the sake of nostalgia though, nothing beats the bird trio...

The lake trio look too much alike and are bland conceptually, and the dragon trio are the spawns of hell for being conceived as plot devices in the abysmal story in D/P/Pt.

The bird trio was always my favorite just because they were the first ones I saw and got to love when I was a kid. Articuno, Zapados and Moltres will always be 3 of my favorite, although I do like most of them.
