my DM is always equped with: black pendant, ook of secret arts, mettal silver armor, rare gold armor, dark energy, and magicians first attack, and I have 3 for each exept the armors, pluse you can return lack pendant to your hand paying 500 life points.

Me too. I think there's also another version of her, only cooler (orange hair, blue armour), but I dunno what her name is. Dark Magician and Paladin are also good.

Black pendant can't return to the hand. you must be reading teh effect wrong what black pendant says is when it's sent fromthe feild to the graveyard, your opponent loses 500. life points. and those equip cards can be equipped to any monster, so using them as a reason to back up Dark magician, like I said earlier about DMG, is not a good excuse. Frankly I have to comment on you chances of getting darkmagician on the feild with so much magic in there. An imperial order would jsut kill you.:\

And to Purin, you're thinking of Dark Magician Valkyra.One of the DM card he used in the movie.

Actually, according to Edo's website, the name of the new Dark Magician Girl is called Magician's Valkyria. I don't think it's that good, though. It is level 4, 1600 ATK, 1800 DEF, and it's effect is (Japanese translation):

"While your opponent does not destroy this card, your other Magic User Sub-Type Monsters on the field can't be attacked."

I see. Maybe she could come in handy if no strong monsters come along. But then, I don't own a deck at all =P

You mean you haven't gotten into the madness that is Yu-Gi-Oh?!?! *Faints*

Seriously, just buy yourself a starter deck and some booster packs. That's what you'll need to get started on a deck. And since I assume you like Spellcasters, Magician's Force booster packs is what you'll want. Most of the monster in my deck come from it (Dark Paladin, Chaos Command Magician, Skilled Dark Magician, Skilled Light Magician, Dark Magician Girl). Trust me, Yu-Gi-Oh is a fun game to play. Anyways, with the new banned and restricted list, I can say that new players won't have as tough a time as they would have before this new ban/restricted list.

Oh, and with Magican's Valkyria's effect, there is way to utilise it properly. Simply have two on the field. The effect of one prevents the other from being destroyed, and because a Valkyria is still face up on the field, your other spellcasters can't be attacked :)

Well, other than the Manga and Anime, I'm not too interested in getting the cards, because they are expensive, and pretty evil looking too (the pictures mostly scare me, and the last time my brother hide them in my room, I cannot sleep easily for days).
Still, my brother has a deck, we can share it ;)
 
Seriously? You? Scared? Wow, thats, uh, something you don't hear everyday. Don't worry, you'll get over it soon ;) As for the cards being expensive, that's only natural for Yu-Gi-Oh since it's a Trading Card Game. If it's rare, it's valuable. Luck is what you need when you buy boosters, they can be worthwhile investment if fortune's on your side. Keeping in context with this thread, the Dark Magician Girl is currently the rarest of the spell-caster types in the English release, I think (secret rare of Magician's Force), while Dark Magician of Chaos is probably more valuable due to the current metagame. Did I lose you there with my Yu-Gi-Oh jargon? :laugh:

Anyways, it's good that you share with your brother's deck. Sharing is caring :)

By october, Dark Magician of Chaos will be a limited card. Dakr magicianis weaker than Dark magician of chaos and has no effect, and Dark Magician girl gets only stronger if you got a crapload of Dark Magicians in the graveyard, including your oppponent. And not many people play dakr magician. Chaos os more versatile in his effect, and that is why he is a much better magician thatn Dark Magician girl. Why do you think they cal DMG the Apprentice? :\

First of all everyone knows that DMG is hot.

Also Dark Magician of Chaos doesn't have to be pumped up to be strong. He is the best spellcaster and if you say otherwise you are either new to the game or you just don't know what cards are good! :D
 
I'm not new to the game but I DO know what cards are good. For instance, when the BEUD comes out, BESD could be a pretty formidable card.
 
But too situational. YOu'd have to pull exactly what you want when you want it if you wnat to be able to pull that off. My cousin ocne told me that if you can't make good immeidate use of teh card, then it's of little use to you. I've made good use of his words and my deck that used to lose all the time is now up with teh best of them. The smae deck has become that much greater in less than two month's time.
